A lot of people seem to misunderstand the purpose of this tablet. The dimensions are cloned from the Ipad mini and it also has the same look. It doesn't boot up very fast but has a crisp screen that looks great and vibrant. When looking for folios or even a screen protector it is best to buy items that are geared towards the Ipad mini. But keep in mind that the power/volume buttons are located in different spots than the Ipad mini has. Folios and cases that only grip on the edges work best.

I bought one as a replacement for my wife who broke the screen on her dell tablet. Instantly the kids were jealous and I bought another for my son. The display is incredible, and the tablet performso amazong.

Memory is adequate to begin with but you will more if you plan to keep a lot of e-books, like I do, you will need more. You do have to keep an eye on app size, some large ones will bog it down. But it's perfect for what I need.

I've never owned an insignia product, but with this product, I was impressed. I purchased this tablet for my grandson, 10 yrs old. but before given it to him I test drove it. I found that the resolution was great and the processor was good enough to perform function equal to that of some Samsung tablets. great buy economically sound

Pros: - Beautiful Display - 2 GB system memory - Thin and light Cons: - Constantly hangs, freezes, is unresponsive for extended periods - memory card in the MicroSD slot is unavailable for storage for apps and data - Lucky to get 4 hours out of a battery charge (just reading, not streaming video or music) - Even the lowest settings for the screen backlight are way too bright for a dim room and the auto sensor is useless - Serious issues with streaming services (stuttering, use of the volume control kicks you out of the app) - updates are limited if you have more than 4 gigabytes of apps downloaded, won't run downloaded updates I really wanted this tablet to perform up to the standard of other Insignia products (I have a 32" Insignia LCD tv with DVD player that is an excellent product), but have been sorely disappointed with this one, apparently the manufacturer partitioned the memory and the operating system runs in a partition that isn't large enough to install the latest update. You wont' be able to run apps from the memory card, or save app data to the card, either, the system doesn't recognize it unless you have data already on it, it read the card unless it is formatted NTFS, and it can't write to the card from apps, so some of the key capabilities of Lollipop are useless. Best Buy, for a tech company you really got taken for a ride on these tablets. I'm sure the return rate for these has already caught the eye of someone at corporate. The whole concept of a house or store brand is that it offers a comparable or superior value to a name brand product at a discount, this tablet falls far short of the mark. You fooled me once, I won't be fooled again on Insignia tablets and when I buy future Insignia products, I'll make sure I mark the calendar for a 15 day return and keep the receipt handy.

Good starter tablet. Does what I need it to do. Plus I can watch my Netflix when I'm out town. Don't use all the apps that are loaded on it, I think it should come with less. Leaving option upmto buyer.

For the price the screen resolution, is the best on the market. The tablet is quick and reliable.

my first experience with an Android tablet and I am very satisfied. For checking email and simple Internet surfing, this is great.

The battery life on this thing is absolutely horrible. 30 mins tops, out of it while fully charged, dont waist ur money, unless u constantly use it while charging. Sorry not a fan.

was looking for an affordable tablet. this was on sale for the price I was looking for. has everything I need.

It works OK. Nothing really special about it. I ended up going with a Galaxy later on. No complaints, it just didn't have the bells an whistles I wanted.

Works well, good speed. Using mostly for travel, and the low price means I won't lose my mind if it breaks.

Screen resolution is excellent! Better than most high end tablets even. The internal memory is less than desired, and using an SD card isn't much help here as most apps or downloaded content can't be moved to the SD card. Overall a really good buy, especially for the price. Got mine on a flash sale for $89. Great for watching Netflix or other streaming services.

This device not only serves as a good learning tool for my daughter, but I can use it as a backup for my laptop if that goes down.

It works well I would recommend this product to anyone that likes android products. It allows you to download applications as needed.
