One of the most important elements to consider to protect an iPad is a screen protector. While the screen of the iPad Pro M4 is sufficiently resistant, I do not know if the use of the apple pencil pro will damage it over time, so having a screen protector is a good idea, especially if you intend to use the Apple Pencil or similar like me.
In the box comes the screen protector, stickers to remove dust, stickers for holding the screen protector with the iPad, a cloth with alcohol and a dry cloth, a microfiber cloth and instructions. The instructions are clear and with the help of the stickers the installation is not so complex, although I think it takes time and patience as only one screen protector comes in the box, only one chance to do the installation well. This Insignia screen protector does not completely cover the screen of the iPad Pro 11” M4 but it can be an advantage if you need to install a case. I could do the installation almost without a problem, there were some air bubbles but in a couple of days, pressing a little the screen protector, they disappeared.
Once installed everything works without problem. I can use my iPad without any inconvenience, I use it with my Apple Pencil Pro without any problem as well as with my fingers. While this screen protector is not saved from fingerprints, it is much less noticeable than with typical screen protectors. The only thing that I think can be improved is the light reflection. I think this screen protector reflects more light than the same OLED display of the iPad itself, sometimes I can notice it but it is not something that prevents me from using my iPad in the day to day.
In summary, this screen protector fulfills its purpose and has an affordable price. The installation is relatively easy and it comes with everything you need to install it without any inconvenience. If you want to protect the screen of your iPad pro m4 this is a good alternative, although you have to consider that only one screen protector comes in the box. I can recommend it.

Works great on Air M2

This screen protector works great so far. I only have a few complaints but they are minor.
1. The screen is not a perfect fit to the iPad Air M2. I am sure this was done to support all of the iPads listed like the 10.9” 2022 and iPad Pro 11” M4. There is quite a bit of edge gap beyond the normal allowance for phones to allow for cases. Not a huge deal but you will have to pay attention when installing and centering the screen, you will want to center horizontally and vertically.
2. There’s no “frame” like for phones that makes it really hard to mess up install. They have a low-tech method instead that works well and cuts down on waste too which is good but more margin for error.
As for the install itself as I was a bit skeptical at first given how spartan and low tech the package was but I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it went.
Just follow the instructions, the tabs work as guide hinges and work really well to line up the screen protector. I recommend working on a flat surface like a table and make sure your hands are as clean as possible.
When removing the film on the back of the screen protector support the cover with your other hand so the tabs don’t shift. Then hold the left side tab and just use it to slowly place onto the cleaned iPad screen. You’ll see the two glass surfaces adhering from right to left, just hold and suspend the left side to make sure no bubbles form as they adhere. If you do get a bubble you can lift up the edge again and let it re-adhere.
If you place the glass and there’s still a large bubble that won’t come out by rubbing it, you can gently left the cover closest to the bubble. Then very slowly, lift until the bubble area is gone then slowly drop the glass cover back down and watch to make sure there’s no bubble. The screen cover is very rigid and does this really well compared to smart phone covers that are less bubble tolerant.
So definitely get this cover as added protection if you have kids or you’re just a bit clumsy and drop your devices. It fits perfectly with my wife’s folio case cover and is also clear and does not distort the image at all. Highly recommend just make sure to read the instructions and clean your screen well!

I should preface by saying I have alot of ipads, for myself, wife, kids, and have gone through various brands and iterations of screen protectors. I didn't do any scientific measurement/calculations, this is simply putting it on, having the family use it, and giving you their opinion as well as my own.
Firstly the cut out is average. It's not great, it's not bad, just average. My photos give you the example of the edges, it's not a precise fit. However, I've asked around and have always wondered why this is. The purpose of this is some cases will inch towards the edge of the screen. So to prevent tight fights or edging of the screen, alot of screen protectors out there will have just a few millimeters off at the edges intentionally. If this is not what you want, just be aware of it. If you do have a tight case and want the extra room, there's about 2mm all around the screen to allow for a snug fit.
Installing the screen was a little economical, you literally use two tapes as a hinge, unseal the screen, then tape it back on, then rub out the bubbles. You're going to have bubbles no matter what, just be aware of it and know how to massage it out. The installation overall, however, just felt a little budget. Wish they had a guide or a bracket of some type.
I didn't measure any light reflection by any scientific methods, but just my viewing of the scree and my family of the screen, it does take away a little of the matte / nanotexture surface, but this would be the case for any screen protector you put on it. Either way it looks good, I would say the kids barely noticed any difference, wife and I still enjoy our viewing of movies/videos without any contrast/dimming effects.
It's quick, simple, gets the job done, can't really have any complaints. If I want to say this product is stellar, I think just having a bracket or some other way to install the screen protector would make it a solid product. For now, it's an easy recommend for a quick fast fix.

Apple makes some great products. Keeping them fingerprint and scratch free, however, can be a challenge. You may be tempted to get a cheap screen protector from an online store, but I wouldn’t. I’ve done that for some of my phones and they always seem to fall off. The Insignia glass shield is just the right size and comes with all you need to get it to stay on cleanly and permanently. There’s multiple cleaning options to ensure no dirt or cat hair gets caught living permanently under the shield. After it’s cleaned, installation consists of adding a temporary “hinge” and pulling off the inside adhesive cover. Once it’s on, squeezing the air out is necessary, but somewhat annoying.
Once on, it resists fingerprints very well. It’s clear with no apparent tinting when watching videos or viewing pictures. I use Lightroom on my iPad and everything looks the same with the glass shield on as it did before. If anything, it looks a little better as the shield resists fingerprints better than Apple’s native glass. The glass is smooth and glossy, which means it does nothing for glare or reflections, unfortunately. Since the iPad’s screen is fairly bright to begin with, this has not been an issue for me. I have a keyboard case for my iPad Air and the glass does not interfere with it at all.
For a reasonable sum, Insignia delivers insurance and a bit of a screen upgrade. I have no complaints!

A bit tricky to install but worth the effort

The cleaning cloths help make the installation as dust and fingerprint , smudge free as possible. My first and probably biggest grip is the super small nano-print in the instruction leaflet. I mean, how much was saved by using a portion of a sheet of paper? Even with my readers on it was near impossible to read the instructions.
Then I noticed the back of the box had the same instructions with a slightly larger font size. My Bad.
Easing out the air bubbles is always a tricky part of screen protector installation. A soft cloth and a Teflon pan spatula helped immensely. With that behind me, I noticed a few stragglers. i hope they work their way out in time.
The response from my fingers gestures is working very well. The beveled edges on the new glass is unnoticeable. I was concerned I might be cut by the bevel, but is is really not even noticeable. The clarity of the glass is great too. There is a cutout for the front camera, which I almost forgot about when initially positioning the glass. Using the cool adhesive "hinges" included made the final positioning of the glass protector much easier than expected. No fingerprints on the adhesive.

Went on super easy. There were a few air bubbles around the edges (user error I assure you), but within a few days the bubbles came out on their own. Feels just like the regular screen, so there’s no weird feeling when I’m using the iPad. Doesn’t have any scratches from constant Apple Pencil use, unlike other cheaper screen protectors I’ve used.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that the screen protector was easy to apply and that the air bubbles resolved on their own. It’s great to know it feels natural during use and holds up well even with frequent Apple Pencil use, especially compared to other options you’ve tried. Keith | Insignia Support

This glass screen protector was easy to apply to my iPad 10.9" screen. Including the hinge stickers as a way of handling the protector and keeping it lined up with your screen is a very nice touch. It also comes with wet and dry wipes, dust removal adhesive, and a polishing cloth to clean your device's screen before applying.
Clean your screen, pull the tab to remove the backing, use the hinge stickers you attached to swing the protector onto the screen, press down to adhere it and remove any bubbles, and you're done! The protector is crystal clear, and the screen sensitivity performance is just as if the protector wasn't even there.
The only thing I find fault with is that the Insignia Glass Screen Protector doesn't cover my device's screen from end to end, side to side. There is a very small strip of my iPad's screen exposed all the way around the protector. This seems to be common for most brands' protectors I've tried though, other than one other brand. I'd like it if a protector protected my device's entire screen since the entire screen is at risk for cracks, chips, and breakage.
I haven't dropped my device or anything yet, but overall, I feel confident that this protector will do what it's supposed to do...protect my screen from any damage.

Screen protectors are a must for keeping the screen in good condition. The Insignia is a Best Buy brand and far more reasonable than other screen protectors. The only down side is getting it on the screen without any bubbles. It does come with helpful directions and cleaning supplies to make sure that the screen is clear of dust and any other dirt. It still is a challenge to get it on the screen.

It fits perfectly but somehow I managed to have a few unwanted air pockets during installation. I usually do not have any problems installing these screen protectors and I was surprised these air bubbles came up.

Precision Installation Required

--- SETUP ---
Remove packaging and follow instructions which can be found outside of the box and inside of pamphlet in the box. Setup takes about 15 minutes total.
--- FEATURES ---
Made for Apple iPad 10.9”, cutouts for camera, speaker, and light sensor, touch sensitive, smooth look, .33mm thin tempered glass, 9H hardness rating (prevents scratches), twice-reinforced glass to prevent shattering, anti-finger oil coating
--- EXPECTATIONS and PERFORMANCE ---
This screen protector looks great on the iPad. The 1st step of the instructions was a little confusing, but the diagram helped in resolving what the words meant.
For starters, the installation process was easy, but it will require a lot of precision on your part. There is no cradle or lines to help with alignment for an even installation. You will have to rely on looks and hope that you don’t move the screen protector once you have centered it where you want it. 3 stickers are provided to help you create a hinge (think like a door) so that you can swing it out of the way while you clean the screen and swing it back once you are ready to install it.
The cleaning process itself was easy. 3 cloths are provided for cleaning + an adhesive sticker to remove any debris like dirt. The first cloth is a wet cloth. Since I use my iPad as a square device that my customers touch to pay at a self-pay kiosk, it was plenty dirty. The wet cloth allowed me to remove all hand and finger prints. With the dry cloth, I was able to dry the moisture from the wet cloth. I then used the smooth cloth to smooth out the screen and leave it shiny. Finally, the adhesive sticker was used throughout the iPad, and it actually caught some dirt I wasn’t able to see.
After that, I peeled the protective layer of the screen protector. Here, I encountered an issue. A small tab is provided so that you don’t touch the screen protector while peeling. When I used the tab, the tab was coming off the protector, but it wasn’t removing the protector casing as it should. I had to look for a corner of the screen protector and peel it with my finger, which isn’t recommended on the tab itself. After that,I closed the hinge I had created with the three hinge stickers and the screen protector started to adhere to the iPad on its own. Few air bubbles remained, which I pushed out with the smooth cloth towards the edges until they disappeared.
--- APPROVAL ---
Though the final look is aesthetically pleasing, I wouldn’t recommend this product for people who aren’t patient or struggle with precision. Having a cradle that could hold the iPad in place would have been very helpful, but alas, I would recommend it only if you will pay Best Buy to install it for you, or if you feel you are precise enough to install yourself. The finished product does look marvelous though.

iPad fell 2’ landing screen down (iPad inside a case). Screen protector cracked all over and broken. iPad screen undamaged. This protector did its job well. Will be buying another to put back on iPad. 4 stars only because while it did what I hoped it would do and save the iPad screen from a drop, it was a short fall and would expect the protector to be more resistant. It was completely shattered. But happy to have no damage to iPad.

It does the job! Protects my screen. Haven't had any drops yet so can't say if it'll protect or not. I will say it doesn't prevent fingerprints well, there's lot soft smudges so if that's important to you, then maybe go for a different one
