    My son got a 3DS for Christmas and I had been looking for a case for him. I ran across this one in my local Best Buy store and checked it out. It isn't a hard plastic case but it is pretty sturdy and should hold up to an 8-year-old without issue. On the inside, it has room to hold 3 games and straps to hold the 3DS down so that it isn't banging around all over the inside of the case.

    If you need a sturdy, dependable hard case for your Nintendo 3DS XL or New Nintendo 3DS XL, this is the way to go. Has pockets for up to three additional games. I've already bought two. In a world where decent accessories aren't always easy to come by, this simple travel case is a safe bet.

    I have a little trouble with the zipper but I think it just needs to loosen up a little after some use. It fits the purpose that I needed for, the price is right, and it's a hard case so I know that my DS is protected should I drop it or anything else happens to it.

    The good: it does exactly what you want it to do—storing a 2 or 3DS and some games. The not-so-good: there’s no strap or spot to attach a clip to. I’m relatively satisfied with the case as gets the job done. The materials don’t seem like it will protect the DS if it fell with a corner first. If you want something cheap that will get the job done, this is probably as good as it gets.
