Honestly compared to Amazon it’s worth the price,gets the job done

It covers the laptop as advertised. A bit snug and hard to remove but the laptop is safe

The case shows finger prints and looks terrible. The edges cracked after 4 weeks without even a drop so it seems like it was from stress? It was cheaper than other cases and probably would help with nicks and dings.

After using the Insignia MacBook Air hardshell case for about 5 days I can honestly recommend it without any doubt. One thing to note is the case is clear, but it is not crystal clear. The case is a frosted clear. The case fits snug to the MacBook and provides excellent protection. I love how the grips at the bottom of the case prevents your MacBook from sliding around. After using the case for a week I can say I would and will purchase another case. The only negative thing that I can say is the description should say frosted clear case instead of just clear. The case gives the Space Grey MacBook Air a really nice look and it is a very modern appearance. Do yourself a favor and get one!

I work from home and typically take my laptop along with me to other places and when traveling. The Insignia case is a great option for a lightweight protective case that still helps prevent scratches or dents. This case is easy to put on, it simply snaps into places. There are also vent holes in the bottom so your laptop won't overheat as well as four grips to elevate it. This is a great option for an everyday case or if you travel frequently and want to prevent minor scratches.

Cracking already when it opens I think it’s catching for some reason

This case does the job of protecting the laptop from damage like scratches and scuffs not does not protect from drip damage. It does fit very snug and looks pretty good. The color of the case with mute the laptop color a bit as it’s not a completely clear case. As for attachment once it’s snapped on it not going anywhere. The bottom was very easy to get snapped on however the top required some effort and we had to rotate it to get it to snap on properly. Overall this is a quality case that I would recommend.

I've always preferred laptop sleeves to cases, but since it seems like there's a fancy new redesigned MacBook Air looming around the corner I really want to make sure I'll be able to maximize my resell value. And for that purpose I have no complaints with this Insignia case. It covers the laptop well and should prevent against any minor to major scratches and dings. The bottom goes on really easily and there's an interesting texture to the case overall that makes holding the Air a little less slippery. But the piece that covers the lid of the laptop is kinda weird. I don't know if I would call it "clear" in terms of appearance. There's a frosted smokiness to it that is both cool and just strange. When I first took it out of the plastic I thought there was some major defects in color uniformity. There were spots where it looked like that frostiness had worn off or something. It turns out those were just places that my fingers had already made contact with the plastic. But then after a few minutes, the whole thing was uniformly frosted again. It's so strange! And I should say that it is more noticeable when touching the underside of that piece of plastic which obviously isn't a problem when it's actually on the laptop's lid. But it still picks up fingerprints and they just look odd and noticeable...then go away. I don't know exactly what this material is and I can't determine if I like it. But it's cool and I certainly prefer it to a solid color. It will just take some getting used to. And speaking of that piece that protects the lid... it's a little hard to get on and snap into place. It's also a little hard to remove. So if that seems like something you want to do with any frequency, you may wish to look elsewhere. Otherwise, it covers all the parts you need covered, has a slightly grippy texture, and doesn't look that bad. For the price, it's easy to recommend.

The Insignia Hardshell Case is a good overall case for the MacBook Air. The clear version that I have lets you still show off the color of your MacBook. Unfortunately, MacBook's no longer have the backlit Apple logo that would have been cool. The case is perfectly cut to match all the ports on the MacBook. It is in two pieces and snaps on tightly to the MacBook. I don't want to necessarily drop my notebook on purpose to test it's ability, so I can't speak on that. The biggest issue that I have with this Insignia Hardshell Case is that it is really slick, no texture at all. Just slick plastic that seems kind of unsafe when handling the notebook. This could be a good or bad thing. On one hand, it is smooth and slick, and really looks great. On the other hand, the slickness of the Insignia Notebook Case makes it really hard to maintain a grip on the MacBook. I never dropped mine, so I only removed one star for this. Other than that, this is an excellent case! A great alternative to Apple cases.

Affordable but yet a good way to protect your MacBook air. It fits almost well. Not adding to much to the MacBook air dimensions. Good to have to protect the laptop from damages and other devices from getting damaged by the MacBook air solid edges. Micro scratches are visible from the first day use. It is doing its job properly. Strongly recommended because of the price and the good design.

I own a carrying bag for my MacBook Air. It is soft, padded, has a small pocket for accessories such as charging cord, and has a shoulder strap. Alas, over 90% of of the time the MacBook Air sits on a table, desktop, lap, etc. — where it is unprotected against bumps (hence scratches and dents) and drops. The Insignia MacBook Hard Shell case provides excellent practical protection against the ravages of bumps and drops. It is ultra lite weight with a 30 second install. The Air, when pushed hard during videography can heat up, and the Insignia Hard Shell case provides just enough elevation with vents on it’s undercarriage to help it dissipate heat versus the MacBook Air without a case. Bottom line: I highly recommend all MacBook Air owners consider this relatively inexpensive means to protect their valued computer while it is being used, or simply waiting to be used.

Insignia macbook cover is great. I have used it for the past week and was very impressed how easy it was to snap on. Snug fit but still not hard to install. I am able to see the original color of my mac book air. Cover feels durable and i believe will protect my MacBook air without fail. I would strongly encourage others to purchase this cover.

This item was on a Black Friday sale so it was VERY inexpensive. It fit the MacBook Air laptop perfectly and looks great on it. Will definitely buy from Best Buy again!
