Didn’t fit and it felt like plastic . It could made not so cheaply

Carrying around more than one Mac laptop in the same backpack can make avoiding dents dings and scratches pretty hard. This case does a great job of eliminating that problem. I love the ventilation slits on the bottom and the rubberized feet keep the laptop from sliding around the table. One word of caution: do not let this case come into contact with Neosporin. I tore up my knees and hands after a nasty fall while trail running and unfortunately this case made contact with some of the Neosporin. The top of the case is now stained everywhere contact was made. I tried light soap and water to scrub it clean to no effect. So while it no longer looks all that great, it solved the use case I was interested in solving.

The insignia MacBook Pro case fits perfectly and is fairly transparent. It installed easily and I have confidence that it will protect my investment well. It is important to protect the aluminum cases when traveling and this is just the right thickness to provide protection while not adding extra bulk to the laptop. The port openings are in the right places and the case stays put. The installation was easy and the covers snapped right on the top and bottom with no issues.

The Insignia hard case shell for the MacBook Pro is a good buy. My job provided me with a MacBook Pro for work and I just didn’t feel comfortable without an added layer of protection for it. Being that it’s a work computer, I wouldn’t want to spend too much on a car. This Insignia hard shell case was just what I needed. For the price, I think it is a descent purchase. The plastic case is a little on the thin side, compared to the hard shell case that I have on my personal MacBook Air. I still think that it is great protection against scratches from moving back and forth so much within my work space. The installation wasn’t too bad. I had to press down a bit to get the case on and got a bit scared of damaging the screen. So, be careful when installing it. Make sure to have the laptop open a bit to get the top case on and press lightly. I started at the bottom and snapped it in place at the top. Overall, I’m happy with the case and would recommend it for a budget friendly case.

This clear hard shell case is exactly as described. It fits my 13 inch MacBook Pro perfectly and adds that extra layer of protection that is helpful when you want to take care of your investment. It snaps on with ease on both the bottom and top without obstructing any ports or changing how you would use the keyboard. There are rubber feet in each of the four corners that keep it from sliding around and the bottom is vented to allow for proper airflow. This one is not “clear” as described but it is more like a cloud allowing just enough transparency to be able to see the apple logo. If you are looking for a solid, inexpensive way to put a little extra care around your laptop, I would definitely recommend this as an option.

The clear case is pretty standard compared to most hard plastic case covers out in the market today. I picked this up mainly to protect the MBP that I use for work because even as gentile as I am with my gear... bumps, nicks, and scratches are bound to happen out on the road. My wife has a 13" 2016 MBP and I have a 13" M1 MBP. The case fits them both just fine. I'll admit, it was a bit concerning the amount of pressure I had to apply to get it to "pop" into place, but it's held on there nice and snug now. The case does change the feel of the MBP to me, makes it feel a bit heftier, but not in a bad way, just a more solid way. The case isn't actually clear - it's a frosted white look which makes my space gray MBP look a bit like my wife's silver one. Not a deal breaker for me, but was a bit off-put because when a case is labeled as "Clear", I expect just that... not frosted or tinted, but I guess that would be called crystal clear or something. I have noticed some discoloration that has shown up, not sure if it's from handling or heat, I'll keep my eye out for it to see if it spreads. Cases like these are great if you're like me and you like to adorn your MBP with stickers from conferences or events. That way, when the machine needs to be swapped out, you can pop the case off and use it on your next MBP.

after purchasing the MacBook I couldn't really afford an expensive case and this is perfect. its clear, it fits and protects my MacBook from scratches. I don't know if it will protect the laptop from bumps but if you're already careful with your Mac and are looking for something that will protect it from daily scratches this is what you want.

Pretty good case for the MacBook pro. It fits very well and it adds extra for my notebook. Offered good coverage and an extra layer of protection. A very good shell at a very nice price. Definitely looking to this one if you're a macbook owner.

This fit my Macbook pro perfectly. So easy to snap on with no struggle. I have a 13.3 in. Macbook pro and there were no issues putting this on. I can put stickers and decals on while protecting my laptop. I would def recommend this.

It was easy to install and stays on the device. The cover is cloudy so the Apple logos don't show through very well. To install, simply snap on the bottom and top using the included instructions. Packaging was lightweight yet sufficient to keep the product from any damage during shipment.

I found this hardshell case to be effective in scratch protection for my Macbook. It securely attached to my 2018 Macbook Pro and opens and closes perfectly. I was frustrated to discover that the design has a fatal flaw for those who routinely use a Hyper+Drive Duo port extender... You CANNOT use it when this case is installed. The Hyper+Drive Duo cannot make full connection when the lower half of the case is attached. Even turning the Hyper+Drive Duo backwards or switching to the other side - no bueno! I have the other version of the Hyper+Drive (original model I believe) and if you remove the support tab, the USB-C ports are just long enough to make a secure connection. I use my Macbook for music recording and the port extender is a must-have for all the connections I must make with my Mac! PROS - Insignia brand and quality - Scratch protection - Clear so you can still see your Mac under the cover - Practical for anyone not using a hub/port extender CONS - Design flaw prevents hub/port extender without case modification!

I didn't know what to expect when it comes to hard cases. I also reviewed the 14" version. Pros: - does not feel cheap. feels solid for protection for your 13.3" Macbook Pro - looks good although not completely transparent - fits well - ease of installation - easy to remove if needed to clean dust/particles that may naturally get in-between the case and your Macbook. - super affordable for the quality you get Cons: - truly none that I can think of. I haven't tested it long enough to see if it scratches your Macbook while also protecting it, but so far it doesn't seem that it is, and based on the material it doesn't appear to do so. I wouldn't expect much from an Insignia case as it's more of the 'generic' brand but the quality is just so superbly good, it deserves its recognition. Installation is truly so easy that no instructions are needed; you just install it and your Macbook Pro is protected. A more fully transparent case would look nice, but that usually comes with the price of having a softer case and not a hard case.

I just got it. Descent quality for the price. the bottom wasnt staying on well so I used a little bouble sided tape. but for $6 I cant complain

The Insignia hardshell case for my MacBook works, but is not what I was expecting. The top and bottom pieces of the case snap on to your MacBook. It can easily be removed so there’s no need to worry if it’ll be permanent. At times it can come off a little too easily. The biggest gripe I have is the finish. It looks OK after it’s installed, but the fingerprint oils creates a different color than the coating it comes with. This makes your device not looks as nice. I needed up removing and will opt to use my device without it.

Sturdy feeling case, it sometimes snaps off quite easily and is a huge fingerprint magnet. Maybe I'll paint over it

The Insignia Macbook PRO13.3" Hardshell Case fits my 13" MacBook Pro perfectly. So far, I do not see any issues with it while using my MacBook Pro. The clear casing allows me to show off my device, as well as keeping it protected when I travel with it.

I really like these hardshell cases. They fit really well and help if you accidentally drop them. It wasn't overly large as I was concerned about it being bulky but it wasn't. It fits snug and stay secure.
