Bought this when we got a new tv. Our old sound system didn't have HDMI and we needed a way to pass audio to it. work great. we use it along with Insignia™ - Optical/Coaxial Digital-to-Analog Converter - Black to pass Audio to our old sound system.

I like this device it really works as intended to and the sound quality in the picture quality is excellent

Works great, bought it for the folks sound bar because their tv didn’t have Fiber Optic Audio input. No sound quality loss and I haven’t heard a complaint... other than their youngest saying “their tv vibrates the house now”. Lol

This seems high quality product. Just used it for a short time and have no issues with it.

I have an older Sony receiver that does not have HDMI ports (only digital optical and digital coaxial). This device converts the HDMI input to digital optical so that you can connect it to your receiver. The HDMI-out jack lets you also connect your inputted device to your TV simultaneously, so the audio/video signal is available when you're not using the receiver.

Does not support 1440p but does 1080 at 120fps used for my Xbox series S on a LG 27GL83A-B 27 Inch Ultragear

Great to have sound for my video games system so i dont have wear headphones all the time.

Got this since the PS5 does not have an audio optical output. My set up is HDMI to my monitor and optical cable to my sound bar. This worked out perfectly and I did not see any loss of quality. Note my gaming monitor is 4k at 60hz.

Overall this works fine for what I wanted to use it for, which was connecting to an HDMI computer monitor that had no audio output and routing sound to a speaker system. There is slight audio sync lag and this box has ocassionally flaked out the video feed and needed to be power cycled (I was amused that they even bothered to render digital "snow" when this happens). However this quirk is just a minor complaint and happens rarely enough that I can live with it at this price point.

Exactly what I needed due to my gaming headset I needed a way to connect my monitor and PC audio mixed with the HDMI ports! Now I can sync and enjoy two audio sources at the same time.

Nice product. I have a epson projector works good with it but expensive found it on eBay for better price.

Attempted to use unit as a substitute pass-through to rectify a Roku soundbar operational problem with a non-ARC HDMI TV input and an incompatible TV optical input. Although could utilize the optical cable input between soundbar and extractor, and the extractor's HDMI input and outputs, was ultimately unable to get extractor to perform the desired function. That said, extractor is not inherently a bad product and might be perfectly useful for other purposes.

this works awesome! i have a projector that i could not get my BOSE 3.1 to work with. this pulled the audio out of the HDMI feed so i could use my surround sound instead of PC output.

Great converter. There seem to be no way to adjust sound when using earphones.

This box is a great idea! I have it hooked up to my Roku which is hooked up to my TV & the audio out of this box is plugged into an older receiver which doesn't have any HDMI inputs.

Have a 1080p projector in my basement movie room. Switched to fire cube and needed to separate the audio and video. This gadget did the trick! Couldn’t be happier!

This little box is amazing and simple to use with the Epson projector. However, not happy that the one I purchased two years, with little usage, does not work. I hope that this one will work longer.

This thing worked perfect. All new Comcast 4k boxes don’t have digital optical out (or any audio out for that matter).
