I was having trouble getting my surround sound to work with my projector, but this allowed me to split the HDMI video signal to the project and the audio to the soundbar for the surround sound. I also bought it as an open box item and it was packaged and looked brand new.

Instructions are clear. Troubleshooting tips are technically accurate and expressed in understandable language. YES! you may need shorter 4k HDMI cables. and you may need to juggle the device arrangements as suggested in the printed documentation. I connect the "HDMI input' to a non-4k ROKU express device. The HDMI output to a Rocketfish 2 HDMI splitter ans then into 2 LCD computer monitors. The Audio output goes to a DENON AVR.

Unable to get 120hz in QHD

I could not get 120hz on my QHD Dell monitor from the Xbox Series S. I used high speed HDMI cables. I knew it would not do VRR that the Dell is capable of. If you just want 4K 60Hz this thing works fine. I got audio through an optic hookup.
