Unable to get 120hz in QHD
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned it. I could not get 120hz on my QHD Dell monitor from the Xbox Series S. I used high speed HDMI cables. I knew it would not do VRR that the Dell is capable of. If you just want 4K 60Hz this thing works fine. I got audio through an optic hookup.

What I expected!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to buy this due to the Xbox Series X not having an optical port and my Turtle Beach Tactical Audio Controller requiring one to be functional. I could tell no difference in the quality of sound. I have a 28-inch Samsung monitor that displays 4k @ 60hz with a 1 millisecond (ms) response time. This audio extractor does display 4k at 60 fps (per my Xbox) and there was no noticable difference in the response time on my monitor. This is what the transition from the Xbox One X to the Series X should have been, sad that it wasn't. All-in-all, this audio extractor fixed all of my hiccups during the transition and met all of my expectations.

Confirmed working for PS5
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PS5 does not have a built in optical port, so if you have a PS5 and want to connect it to a sound system via optical, this device is recommended. I have a 4K TV and can also confirm I still get 4K video using this. Set up was easy and it works as advertised. Xbox Series X and S do not have optical ports either, so I'd imagine this could provide the same convenience when set up correctly.

specific use case not met
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i bought this with one feature in mind, the ability to extract dolby digital from the HDMI on my computer before it goes into the tv. unfortunately my computer refused to even see this as a sound device, whereas i can use my 11 year old sony receiver just fine. ultimately returned the extractor. not sure if maybe they'll make a new one that will do what i need or not....
