If for the most part, there is no sound piping through and then there's a notification, there is a lag in processing and the sound is cut. If the notification is too short it won't go through at all. This makes the device rather unsuitable for hooking up a laptop. Other devices, consoles and players, work better as long as continuous sound is piped through. Other than that I wish all the ports were on one side. If there's an alternative available try that one out first.
