    This does not work all the time. I purchased this for my Apple TV. Since it does not have optical audio. When in use, the screen turns to snow. You then need to unplug it, wait 15 minutes. Not worth it.

    I bought due to easy direction s stated I could connect my insignia headset to my tv but we did this and did not work.

    For some reason, the connections weren't very solid and the cables had to be positioned "just right" to get signal to pass. Once I got everything positioned, the device worked well for about 4 days. Then it just stopped passing a video signal. I replace cables to no avail. Confirmed the video source (Apple TV) was functioning properly. Finally replaced the product with a competitors and everything works just fine.

    I purchased this to try and pipe my PC audio to my home audio system over optical connection. It's very lossy, and causes constant disconnects of your monitor. Even when forcing the monitor refresh rate down to 60 or 59.9 hz. I ended up just buying a sound blaster sxfi instead.

    I purchased this to use a pair of headphones on my Playstation 3. The sound that blasted out of this thing was so loud that it gave me hearing damage, which is most likely permanent. I've never heard sound so loud come out of my headphones, which I had used daily and safely for several years. The manual even recommends using it with both headphones and game consoles, so I had no clue I was about to hurt myself. The rest of my life is irreversibly changed due to this product.

    Worked as intended, as a way to use my optical cable from my Astro A40 on my xbox series X but the video signal kept cutting out no matter what hdmi cables i used. Not sure if mine was defective or the signal dropping is just normal for this device.

      Sorry for your bad experience. This product supports up to 4K 60Hz, please make sure your resolution is equal or lower than that, or change cable to try.

    I purchased this to use with an xbox series x connected to an lg 65c8. Games work ok. It does not handle the hdcp handshake for bluray.

    Connection from sound bar to overhead projector is intermittent which causes a lot of frustration on my end.

    Could be a 1 or 5, or something in between. Don’t know and not sure why I was invited to review this item by BB since I did not purchase it. I only buy stuff from them when there is no other reasonable or acceptable alternative. I leave that for you to figure out.

    Bought 3 of them used for months no longer work and non returnable. This is not a good product to sell to consumer If it defective and only usable few month.

    It stopped working about a week after the return/exchange window. Hopefully I just got a faulty unit because it seemed solid up until that point. Sucks to be out $50 though.

    I got the audio out but no video. When I took it back, the person working the exchange told me that there might be a blocking circiut that required some bypass to mske it work. I have on desire to play little games with the equipment! So, I returned it and after going home, I found a different solution to my problem and saved the money I otherwise would have spent.

    It did not work for me and had to return it. It could be that I picked up a wrong item but it was very difficult to figure out how to set it up

    No sound on aux had to get an optical cable, that worked once then nothing. Very disappointed family movie night on the projector. Do not buy!

    Extractor once installed failed to clear up our problem with living room speakers which stopped working a few days after installation. It also threw our TV programming out of whack. Tech failed to respond to phone call and email asking for help.
