There are 3 separate HDMI cables involved to get the signal back there. We were experiencing drop-outs until I installed this repeater..two thumbs up.

It does get a little but warm but nothing to worry about it. So far I like the product.

With the added USB power I was able to connect that cable to a HDMI to VGA adapter and get the output to projector.

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found this item to be a useless piece of plastic, it is supposed to connect the two HDMI ports together I used it to connect to my TV to my PS4 and it barely works half the time and all of the high-end functions of an HDMI cord was useless for this thing. If you're buying this to extend two high-end HDMI cords together just buy a longer high-end hdmi cord and don't buy this product. Another downside it will also take it one of your plug ports just to use the product.

My previous receiver had no problems. I hooked this up and the noisy red dots went away and I'm left with a perfect picture--very satisfied! I've tried another, cheaper product from a LARGE online retailer and it was NOT effective where this one works great.

Works well at 1080. 4k is substandard. No HDR

I am using this with a 50' cable connected from a high end gaming PC to an OLED77CXPUA that was not working for 4k at all and only worked at 1080/30hz. This device works great at 1080 120hz. However, I bought it for 4k and HDR. At 4k, it only supports 30hz. HDR gives a garbled display and is unusable. As it stands, it is suitable until I can get around to getting an optical HDMI and running it through the attic. However, if you are planning on using this for 4k or HDR I would look at other options.
