For a quickie, it makes an old projector or a PICO look excellent at the backyard Drive-In. Connect an HDMI out from a portable Blu-Ray player to a projector for similar results. Lots of fun for the kids and novices to play around with older audio/video equipment.

We can hook a computer and a HDMI cable to the system and play things over all the TV's in the facility.

My tv showed a red vertical line on the far left side of the screen as if my tv was waring down but it was actually caused by the Insignia converter. I had to go back to the original foreign brand with the USB cord I hate just to have the decent picture quality I was accustomed to. The only thing I liked about the Insignia unit is that had a normal AC power cord.

Be careful with your purchase as you need one kind if device to go one direction, and you need an entirely different device to go the opposite direction. Look at your installation and read the product description carefully and you will be okay. Set up is straight forward; just plug and play.
