This adapter did the trick just great. Be careful of the a/v connectors tho. If you use monster cables or other very tight rca connectors you might have problems removing the cables when you need to chang something

Wish I had bought it earlier it has enabled me to use an older system and plug in newer components that use HDMI connections. It is a really a neat product.
