I had one already that workeed perfect to convert for rca to hdmi for use of an old Wii game , bu this one was to convert new 75 inch tv to old expensive stereo - but it did not work at all . Dont think its the convertors fault but not sure as the arc hdmi does work with new surround system purchased.

This HDMI converter worked extremely well for my projector would highly recommend it

Works well, easy to set up. Helped me convert an old SONY TV to streaming capable with a Fire stick. SONY picture on this old Plasma is too good to toss the TVn

Purchased this for a 2004 model plasma tv that has no hdmi input. I wished I would have thought of this sooner. Next I inserted a chrome cast, and tada converted this old plasma into a smart tv. 8-)

This is an amazing item. Anyone with a modern LCD tv is aware there is no way to record programs on dvd and VCR recorders because of the lack of RCA outputs. This device solves the problem by connecting the HDMI on the tv to the RCA jacks on the VCR's and DVD's. It just works. The only limitations are to play back to the tv you will need an RCA to HDMI converter by Insignia which I have reviewed separately.

The Insignia - HDMI to RCA Convertor was a lifesaver! I recently was forced by my landlord to give up cable television. It was no longer available at my residence. Therefore, I went with ATT and DirectTV. But I do not have a digital television, but rather an older Sony Model. Being able to get this product saved me from having to buy a flat screen digital television! It is fantastic! I also got extra great help from the salesman at Best Buy at finding it and he recommended this exact one! HIGHLY recommend this product and Best Buy!

work as advertised, i used for my VHS player to my smart tv.

Using it on an old projection TV in a bedroom. HDMI is coming off a Roku box then into the RCA converter. Works great ! I had to reboot the system a couple of times to get a good resolution. But this works great with a Roku box. Not sure if it will work with their new sticks. If you have a choice, get this with their box.

Did exactly what I wanted it to do. I have an old school tube tv and wanted to cast using a Chromecast. Straightforward and easy to use, only negative thing is that I have to plug this device and the Chromecast into a power source, but that aside, it did exactly what I wanted it to do with no issues.

Purchased this item to convert the HDMI signal of DVD player to an old projector with composite video input. Worked like a charm. Great value!

As a teacher this was needed as some aspects of the classroom update (laptops) and some do not (Smartboards). Everything is great when all we used was composite and VGA but then the new laptops come in (which is great) but only have USB-C and HDMI. This helps keep some connections working still. Also I am likely rating the value higher than normal because I was able to find an open box one.

Please be aware that this adapter is ONE-WAY to connect an HDMI OUTPUT (e.g. newer laptop) to an RCA INPUT (old-school TV). The nonprofit organization I work for has a pretty old-school big screen TV and doesn't have the funds to upgrade, so I purchased this converter to connect newer laptops. It connected instantly without any tinkering with the laptop's Display settings (using a MacBook Pro with USB-C to HDMI adapter). Please note that this adapter requires DC power – it comes with a short USB power cable with a two-prong plug adapter. I fear easy breakage because the adapter is so lightweight. We've only used it once so far, though, so we'll see!

This is not something that most people would need or use, it this is REALLY useful when you want to burn a DVD on a DVD burner for home viewing on a DVD player. Huh? Many computers can rip a disc, but not all discs are able to be read by a DVD player in a home. I can take my HDMI cable from my laptop and send it through this device via the RCA inputs and then record with my DVD recorder. Most people don’t use or need this technology, but for those who can’t watch a livestream of their church service because they don’t have internet, do t have a smart phone, or can’t see the screen - or frankly, someone who wants to use older technology (DVD player) because that’s what they are used to using - this allows for that to happen. I can attach my laptop to older TV’s, I can play newer game systems on older TV’s (not sure why I’d want to...) But IF you ever needed to go from new technology to older technology - this converter does the job!

Worked as expected! I use it to go from Stremio on my Firestick using an HDMI cable, and then I go from component to my CRT to watch 4:3 content. Great price as well!
