It was easy to set up and reasonably priced. The box does get fairly warm while in use.

Purchased for use on an older tv to pair with an updated Roku for access to newer channels. The picture quality and clarity with this combo is so improved it's like having a brand new tv. High marks for ease of installation, it's literally plug and play. In less than 10 minutes the converter & Roku were set up and ready to stream.

The footprint of the item was bigger than I thought. Don’t expect too much from picture since it’s going from digital to analog. Currently using for connection from Roku hdmi to an old flat screen TV which does not have an HDMI input.

Great Little Converter

New cable box only supports HDMI connection. Picture quality good, easy to hook up, instructions were clear.

This adapter worked seamlessly with the old-to-new hardware challenge, and a lot cheaper than a new TV!

Excellent quality HDMI to RCA!

We got a new, to us, cable box; it only has an HDMI out, so we needed this to convert that HDMI cable signal to RCA (the red, yellow, white) to send that cable signal into our VCR. We’ve got an FM transmitter that uses RCA audio; that allows my mom to hear the tv’s sermon through her radio in the kitchen while cooking on Saturday night. We also still record using our VCR… but, anyways, the HDMI cable signal is super clean looking when using this Insignia box to convert it to an RCA signal AND the audio still sounds perfect coming from our kitchen’s radio! A superb purchase! Recommended! (HDMI is with out a doubt THE BEST, but if you also need RCA sometimes, then this Insignia converter is quality!)

Old TV...Good as Roku New!!

Obviously my TV would not work with my new Roku with HDMI outlets. This converter worked great. It was easy to setup and my Roku now works perfect on my old TV. This was definitely worth the investment and save me at least a couple of hundred dollars until I'm ready to upgrade.

My problem: how to insert audio into the HDMI. One solution: use this guy to turn the HDMI signal into analog, then replace the audio on RCA jacks, then convert it back to HDMI with the sister Not the most elegant solution, but dangit, it works like a charm! There are also boxes that can do this task.

Connections are solid, picture and audio quality is better then other converters I've used. Whole unit seems to be built well. Had zero issues with functionality. Easy to set up and use.
