    I have a TV from the 90's that still works and now have a Blu-ray, which need a devise to connect the two. It was an extra purchase but did not have to update the TV.

    This item was purchased to connect a Wii to a newer, "smart" TV. I spoke with a Best Buy Customer Service Rep and was told it would work. However, upon receipt of the item, it never worked despite multiple connection attempts with several different TV's. In fairness, I can't fault the item and I have to assume it would work for converting HDMI to RCA. However, for my intended purpose it failed. Thus the 3-star rating.
