I got is as a problem solver, a combo with the RCA to HDMI converter. My problem: how to insert audio into the HDMI. One solution: use this guy to turn the HDMI signal into analog, then replace the audio on RCA jacks, then convert it back to HDMI with the sister Not the most elegant solution, but dangit, it works like a charm! There are also boxes that can do this task.

Overall very happy. Connections are solid, picture and audio quality is better then other converters I've used. Whole unit seems to be built well. Had zero issues with functionality. Easy to set up and use. Great for legacy devices.

Works well just note that it is HDMI to RCA, not the other way around.

I decided to get Roku Express because a channel that I watch regularly get interference on the cable. I needed this to connect the Roku's HDMI to my old CRT TV. It does the trick.

Slightly older flatscreen TV that still works great had an HDMI port but no sound came through when plugged in to a new cable box. With this converter I was able to hook up to that same new cable box to get both sound and video. The picture quality is stunning.

If you want to have quality audio while using a projector, you need this converter. I plug my Roku into it then run analog connector to my audio receiver and presto... I have stereo sound for my movies on the big screen. A hard wired elegant solution no messing with Bluetooth

Growing up I often heard older folks exclaim "It's still good!" when someone suggested the throw something away. If it was junk, I'd roll my eyes. But, sometimes, something is still perfectly good. Sometimes you don't want to toss it into the ever-growing pile in the landfill because it still works... and it still works well. I got this because we had several "old" picture-tube televisions at church (kids, that's what we used before flat screens) that were good quality and working well. Trouble is, technology has raced past them in the last 30 years. This converter lets me plug my computer into an old television, and other tech like a Wii. So, before you put the old tv on the curb, go watch the movie Wall-e. Then go put the tv in the basement, the den, or wherever the kids hang out and get one of these. Your tv can live out it's natural life... and you won't mind sticky hand prints all over that glass screen the way you do the flat screen!

Worked well to bring my old tv back to life. I had gotten the HDMI inputs repaired twice and they went out again. Bought this product to connect RCA to a streaming device. Seemed to work well until the sound on the tv went out.

I'm thankful for the help at the store to make certain that I had everything necessary to hook up my new Blu ray player and this converter is a good quality and easy to connect.

Worked as advertised! Simple hook up! Nothing to it! A little pricey in my opinion but otherwise satisfied!

This Insignia™ - HDMI to RCA Converter was just what I was looking for and at a decent price. Now I can continue enjoying my old vhs and dvds with my Vcr / Dvd Combo Player. Easy hookup and good quality.

Works as it should, I just didn't need it so I returned it. But good if you need it.

I purchased this device in an emergency to replace a device from another manufacturer. The other device quite (i.e. stopped syncing) in my churches setup from PC with HDMI output to a projector with composite inputs (yes its old but you make due with what you have). So far there have not been any issues with this device, therefore I can recommend its use if you have a similar older rig.
