So, I returned it and went the optical route. The fault may have been with the TV and not the converter. However, I had no way to troubleshoot the issue with the eARC port on the TV.

Installation was easy and unlike others we found online, this one included everything needed to plug and play right out of the box.

Your Geek squad guaranteed it would work and then when i showed it didn't work, they just said sorry and no other suggestions.

The tv was older so image was just ok. Don’t think this has anything to do with the equipment. Actually left it at house so my parents could use it for all visiting guests.
