The good news is that Best Buy is among the most ethical and customer-centered retailers out there and they easily took it back. What's more, they were genuinely interested in helping to address my needs.

Ok but has sync problems

The blu-Ray home screen was visible on the TV screen but it wasn’t clear and i wasn’t able to get it to appear any better. It’s an old tv so this could be the reason it didn’t work out that well.

Plug it in and get a no signal screen. Which then seconds later switches to NTSC. The video comes up... picture looks good, but when I go to play a movie all I get is white noise. No clear audio...

Defective - no returns

On top of selling me a defective product, Best Buy has a 14 day return policy that they would not honor on day 16. Hard to wait in long lines around the holidays so I waited - apparently too long.

Poor picture and sound quality

The picture quality is fuzzy and not clear. There is a buzzing noise that is very annoying and constant. For $99 I purchased a 32" Westinghouse LED HDTV. So for $49 more it was a much better choice.
