good product is a perfect converter for rca cables for tvs

Worked great ! Lighting got the one it replaced. Could tell it was much better quality than the previous one

Exactly what I needed and works Great!!! Easy hook up and use.

In going through the 1 star, it is nearly only people installing this backward, trying to connect an RCA device like an old Gamecube to an HDMI TV. NO, this is for connecting an HDMI device like a Fire TV or new DVD player to and OLD TV with RCA inputs. That said, it isn't compatible with most of my devices. Fire TV and Apple TV weren't detected at all even after their resolutions were cranked down to 480P. TiVo stream did generate a picture, but with all wrong colors, regardless of resolution and HDR was off. The only device I got a proper image with so far was a Retron77 which is an HDMI output Atari 2600 emulator console. So this unit is very picky about something with the HDMI signal or maybe an encryption problem. So, give it a try, but try it within the return window and keep your receipt as compatibility with different HDMI devices like FireTV, Apple TV and TiVo is spotty despite its wide range of HDMI input resolution support.

This connects my Sony handycam to my DVD recorder. It will put the pictures and videos on a DVD.

Plugged this in and got no signal thru it. Tried a couple of different components with same results. Returned to store.

This Converter is something that I not only needed, but I also needed for it to endure the task that it was manufactured to do the job. Some manufactured idems such as something like this has a tendency to only last a short while, but this converter has lasted past the need in which I got it for and still functionable for when I need it again.

I bought this converter to stream DirecTV Now. I connected the HDMI output from a new Apple TV through the converter to older RCA inputs on a Sharp TV. Works well...except when I tune to Fox News the audio becomes pure static. Other channels come in loud and clear. I have tried the converter with different RCA cables on a different (Sony) TV built in 2001 and have the same problem. Swapped out HDMI cable with same result. Seems very bizarre.

Worked out the box. Powered it and no issues. No real setup needed.

Worked great for about a year then no longer functioned. Bought another one (white) will see how this one works out.

I only bought this because I wanted to test a wii I just bought. The wii worked on a different tv with RCA input. But to hook it up to my tv, this device does nothing. I plugged the RCA cable into the wii and then into this adaptor. Plugged a hdmi into this adaptor and then into my projector. I plugged in the power for this adaptor and got nothing. There’s a switch on the adaptor, but I’m not sure what it does. It’s not power. But regardless of which the switch is oriented, this adaptor is useless. It just gets warm while plugged in and that’s it. Waste of $50. Definitely returning.

Bought to hook up an old 1st generation WII console to a current Samsung smart TV. No luck. I followed the instructions, confirmed all power light were on. However, I could not get the converter to register a connection. I’ll be returning to Best Buy for refund. Maybe there’s another product that works. This type of converter was recommended when I Googled “connecting WII console to Smart TV”.

couldn’t rate this item right after buying husband got covid it spread to the rest of the family and item was forgotten about then remembered but found out it didn’t work so should be returned
