This connector works very well and allows me to use one large monitor for two separate laptops. I'm on the computer all day for work and a large screen really helps, but I use two separate laptops and I don't have room on my desk for two large screens. With this connector, I just have to push a few buttons to change which laptop is currently displaying on the monitor.

This adapter works perfectly! I bought it when my company moved to work from home, and I needed an adapter to use for my second screen. My PC is a HP Envy 17t (2015) model and the monitor is a 2010 model. Even my spouse was able to use it with her MacAir and a separate dock with no fuss. Pleased with the device.

good convenient adapter VGA to HDMI; however, the cord could be a little longer but gets the job done.

I purchased this adapter so I could utilize a second monitor to expand the display (dual screens). It has worked flawlessly. I use it strictly for work-related programs. I haven’t used it to do streaming video or gaming, so I can’t speak for its performance for such things. I would think by its performance so far that it would hold up nicely though. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I bought this item to connect an old laptop that only had a VGA output to a HD TV. What I learned though is the “order” of the name of the product makes a difference. This item is an HDMI to VGA connection. What I needed was a VGA to HDMI. It does not send and convert the signal both ways. This item would have been perfect if my laptop had an HDMI port and was connected to an older monitor or projector that only had a VGA port.

Many facilities and organizations still have the old style VGA projectors. Many newer PC's (and certainly software running on them) only display in HDMI mode, making direct connection to older projectors incompatible. This adapter was the perfect solution to my problem for a large group presentation I had to make sending HDMI from my laptop to the VGA projector at the conference center. THANK YOU!!

Needed a very specific application use for some AV work on location. Everything worked perfectly, plug and play. Wish it had a way to screw in as VGA normal does, for extra piece of mind, but it was fine without. we needed to run a separate micro-usb cable for power to work reliably, which is not included
