Many facilities and organizations still have the old style VGA projectors. Many newer PC's (and certainly software running on them) only display in HDMI mode, making direct connection to older projectors incompatible. This adapter was the perfect solution to my problem for a large group presentation I had to make sending HDMI from my laptop to the VGA projector at the conference center. THANK YOU!!

I bought a knew monitor so that I had two screens to look at since I am working from home. But my new work computer does not have the place to hook the monitor up so I had to get this adapter. I had to have the HDMI one cause I cannot load software on my work computor and this works without the software.

I needed to connect an older monitor to my wife's new laptop computer and this device did the trick when coupled with the correct cords (also bought at Best Buy). Just what I needed... a cable to connect an old screen to a new computer. I use the computer screen and the other screen for yoga. I'm a beginner so I need to see the screen at different angles to get the pose right. What I need is a bigger screen but that will come if I decide to continue yoga at home.

During the covid lockdown in April my wife was working on a laptop from home. She was saying she wanted to have a dual screen like she had at work so I got this to hook up to an old monitor we had and it worked like a charm. I later learned you can use it to mirror certain cellphones and tablets to a computer monitor also

I needed to give a PowerPoint presentation And I have an older projector That Only has the old style 13 pin Connector cable So I could not Hook it up to my laptop because the laptop doesn't have 13 pin output, it only has USB And an HDMI output. I went to a store and they sold me a cable that had the right adapter EndsTo connect the older VGA projector to The newer laptop, but it was just a cable and therefore it had no electronics so it was useless and failed to work. I went to BestBuy and talked to The salesman who showed me a number of Converters And he recommended This oneBased on its low price and he assured me it would work.Which it did, I'm very happy Now

I wanted to be able to connect my Win10 laptop to a 27" monitor, but the laptop doesn't have a VGA port. It does, however, have an HDMI port. The Insignia HDMI-to-VGA adapter allowed me to connect the laptop to the monitor's VGA port, and extend the image between both devices. Problem solved!
