I replaced my old PC with a new one, but kept the old monitor, and found that the cable ports were not compatible. The Insignia HDMI-to-VGA Adapter came to the rescue, and I'm back in business with everything working perfectly.

I use my projector that's about 8 years old: having only a VGA output: for presentation put on by a variety of organization in town. Many presenter have only HDMI ports on there laptops. This adapter make the connection.

Works great to adapt-connect our extra monitor to our new laptop. Picture on monitor looks great - not perfect but great for what we need it for. It's a pretty sharp image. It's easy to use, just plug it in to hdmi port on laptop and the other end to the existing cable. All set to go.

Purcuased to hook up my portable projector to my new laptop. The projector doesn't have hdmi so this is a good cheap solution rather than spring for a new projector.

Bought it to connect my Nintendo switch to my computer screen at work. Made night soooo much better. Connects easily and no lag. Also used on the projector at work and worked perfectly.

Worked as advertised. Hooked my VGA monitor to this adapter, and plugged it into the HDMI input on the back of my tower, and the monitor worked perfectly. I didn't experience any of the problems others have talked about in some of the reviews. So 5 stars, it is.

The New PC's that come out no longer come with VGA connections but why should I have to upgrade a monitor if the current one works perfectly. This is adapter was plug and play and I have installed several in my office to avoid extra costs of buying new monitors!

Well this an attractive, sleek black HDMI to VGA converter cable. It came in a stylish, full color box that I kind of hated to throw away. It performs its function quietly and without complaint. It's just a shame that its beauty and form has to stay hidden underneath a desk.

Great quality image and video. We use it to connect our monitor to our laptop. Makes working from home so much more convenient. It's also affordable compared to other similar adapters on the market. Recommend getting an extension cable if needed.

This adapter allowed me to connect my small screen laptop to an older monitor. The older monitor plug would not fit into my USB opening on my laptop. The adapter allowed by monitor cable to adapt to my USB outlet in my computer.

This was a good little product but we needed it for my wife’s Mac mini and it wasn’t compatible. Tested it on my pc just to make sure it was defective and it worked just fine. I rated it four stars because it worked just not with Mac.

Adaptors in general are made to cover many situations and in this day of technology changes it comes really handy to be able to continue using your older technology many times these are hard to find, it certainly resolved my dilemma with my pc to monitor interface issue.

This adapter is used to convert an HDMI output (for example, from a computer) into a female VGA plug; when combined with a male to male VGA cable, it will attach to a VGA female socket on an older computer monitor. It does the job.
