When I decided to add two remote monitors to my laptop, the only device I could find used the USB port and split into two HDMI outlets. Since one of my external monitors uses VGA, I purchased this. It works perfectly.

Doing its job so far. Got it to hook a laptop up to a bigger monitor screen to make it easier to see the screen during homeschooling. Would recommend.

I needed to connect a second monitor to my new Dell computer. The people at Best Buy where very friendly and helped me select this HDMI-to-VGA Adapter. It worked perfectly and now I am up and running with both monitors.

This item is exactly what I need to pair my 4-year old monitor with my new laptop. It also works with my older work laptop, which is why I didn't just buy an HDMI direct link. Multi-purpose works for me!

The adapter works perfect and allows me to use my desktop monitor with my laptop when working from home. Bought this during Covid 19. The buy online and pick up at the store was easy.

Works great for Playstation 4! I connected my PS4 to my older Sony VPL-ES2 projector, and this converter cable worked great! Completely plug-n play. I just connected the converter cable's (provided) 5V power cable to the PS4 hdmi port, and boom! I saw a picture on my projector from my PS4, for the first time! (I did not try the 3.5mm stereo audio connector, as I am running the optical (Toslink) cable to my 7.1 receiver to listen in Dolby surround sound- but I'm sure the Tendak audio would work fine). My projector display is set to 1080i, (as that is the display-limit of my projector), and the picture looks great. If you need to connect a PS4, buy with confidence, without breaking the bank!

Originally the tv signal was transmitted via a coaxial cable and picture didn't fill the screen and was grainy. The HDMI cable enabled the picture to fill the entire sceen and the picture is sharper, clearer and brighter.

Short cable still stays hidden behind monitor, the “box” is not too prominent or an eye sore. Worked exactly as expected, without ever having any form of compatibility issue with Windows 10 laptop. A+

I work in an environment that requires one to have a toolkit for a variety of equipment and situations. This is vital and necessary for connecting HDMI to older models with VGA connections. It works, plain and simple.

Works great conncting a laptop to several projectors at my wife’s university. Does not screw into the VGA port, but is a simple press fit. No issues with the video signal strength or continuity. Recommend.

I just got a new computer but didn't want to buy a new monitor. My problem, the new computer doesn't have a vga outlet, only hdmi. I bought this adapter and it works perfectly. Very happy.

This device was recommended to me by a Best Buy associate so I could connect an older computer screen to my laptop. Could not have been simpler. Plugged it in To the computer and then to my Monitor and it was done.

More and more monitors and computer cards are going mostly HDMI these days. But when your business still has functional VGA monitors for that second screen, these come in handy. Expensive but cheaper than replacing the monitor!

Works exactly as advertised. Easily allowed me to connect my laptops HDMI output to an external monitor or a projector.

only bad thing it is not ready to use right out of the box , got it all set up but the monitor would not work properly , come to find out it does need to have a cable connection to power it up ,

I do many presentations in a variety of venues, many of which have now switched to all HDMI ports although my computers have VGA. This is handy to have in my tote to assure I can readily access whatever I may need from my files on my laptop.

Only negative is it can disconnect itself if you trip on the cord or sometimes when it hangs off the side of the desk.. Wish it had the screws that would hold the computer VGA cable like the back of the computer screen does but all-in-all, works great for what I bought it to do!

Was looking for a quick fix when I didn't have the right cord to connect my Chromebook to an older projector at work. Half an hour later (trip to and from the store in Sunnyvale included) I was displaying what I needed to and haven't had a problem with it yet!
