if you connect this from a pc hdmi out to a vga monitor input ,, it works exactly as stated and described ... . .there is a single one direction chip that the hdmi digital output is changed to analog .. beware ,,, it does not work the opposite way ,, as other reviewer comments has stated .. and i am guessing ,,, if your device output hdmi does not work ,, it may be the resolution is too high for the analog vga monitor

Needed an adaptor do I could do two displays from one vga port... one vga and one hdmi... this little gem worked great... just plug and play... or rather plug and view!

This work and it is easy to connect to a bigger monitor. If you want to share you screen and show to a room of people this what you want to have. Connect in one or two minute.

Easy to connect and works well with the projectors that I need to use. Small enough in size that it is easy to pack for travel. A small storage bag would be a nice feature.

This adapter allowed me to connect my laptop to an older monitor, which allowed me to do so much more. It also provided me a big savings as I did not need to go out and purchase a new monitor. Highly recommend.

was the cheapest one found and works great there are new ones with multiple inputs but if you only need cdmi to via this is your pick
