Not it is telling me on my black screen monitor that the monitor needs to be set to 1600x900 60hz, which it is. I tried it with the same monitor on my laptop and it worked as a second monitor, but that's not what I bought it for. Now I have to buy a new monitor because the $20 adapter is not working as intended.
