Just a note that the pictures don't show the extra capabilities of this gadget. Hidden from view in every picture are two extra ports. One is a small usb port that can be connected to a usb charger for those times where the HDMI port you have doesn't provide the power you need. Also hidden is an audio output that allows you to connect to audio equipment, say maybe powered speakers. The VGA is video only, so having the audio option too is a nice plus. I give the device 4 stars, because unless I'm missing something, there does seem to be a little lag time through the device between the HDMI source and the VGA display that makes video games unplayable. I'm using mine between my Raspberry Pi HDMI output and my VGA monitor. If I am wrong about the device being the cause of the lag time, please explain this in a comment on this review. Otherwise, for watching movies or doing spreadsheets, this little gadget is awesome.

This little do-hickey has made teleworking so effortless. It's been easy to transition back and forth to the office using their screens when necessary. Now that we are fully remote, having this is a game changer.

This adapter has worked perfectly so that I could use the monitor that I currently have with a new laptop computer and a new desktop computer. Both computers did not have a VGA connection (only HDMI). It also allows me to connect my projector to either of my new computers. Under $10.00 and well worth it. The resolution looks perfect on all three devices.

We needed to connect our Chromebook to a Monitor to have 2 sceeens at the reception desk. This worked perfectly.

I needed the adapter to hook up a newer Windows laptop (HDMI output only) to an older projector system (VGA input only). It was a happy added bonus that the adapter's output included a stereo 3.5mm jack, this let me keep the audio cable out of the way. Hookup was easy, all connectors fit perfectly. It was true plug & play, no driver issues. Performance is top-notch for both the video and audio, even with our 15-year-old equipment involved in the system. Definitely recommended!

Great, easy to use, affordable and dependable abd durable.

This adaptor meant I didn't have to buy a newer screen. I used this to hook up an older screen to a newer laptop with no VGA port, to gain dual-screen capacity. The cable from the screen holds nicely because I was able to screw it into the connector instead of just pressing it in. After a month, the HDMI side has been holding well despite being inserted/removed several times a week so I can do something else with the laptop.

Needed a device like this, was debating whether to go HDMI to VGA or USB to VGA. Went with this, on recommendation from Best Buy Blue shirt. Even inquired on which brand is better and long lasting. Have used this since I purchased it, works as intended. Very pleased and will recommend

This HDMI to VGA works very well if you want to use your HDMI plug on your graphics card! It's quite easy to hook up, and I have had no problems with it at all. The price is right too!

Wow! This product works perfectly and the value price is great. I am using it to hook up my Nintendo switch with having to carry the actual dock. Super small easy and convenient to bring with you anywhere.

My old HDMI to VGA adapter was getting old and cranky. It was time for retirement. I bought this one before retiring the other so the old one could properly train the new one. Best move I've ever made when it comes to adapting an HDMI port to fit a VGA. This new one is hard-working and has great attitude. It should hopefully last me until I buy a newer projector that no longer uses VGA. So, I'm looking at probably another 10 years of service out of this one.

Works as advertised/expected. Reasonably priced as adapters go. works perfectly with older projectors that didn't have HDMI and have no need for HDMU provided audio.

I love this adapter! It is great, it allows me to connect my computer to a monitor to make my remote job great! It was a great price and made life easier!!

Instead of a bulky station that I had for work, this small VGA adapter did the job when I am wanting to use 2 screens for class. Added bonus, it was affordable.

Old monitor with VGA + new laptop with HDMI = problem solved! Not only did this product solve my issue it was priced extremely reasonable. Other adaptors I was looking at were 2x as much.
