Then the person who came over for the second time quickly installed it.

I assume it's working fine - it's in a rental unit. But when we were installing it, I noticed that the way it makes ice is it fills an area much like an old fashioned ice tray - and then I guess once the ice is frozen, it tips it out. It is specific to the insignia fridge. Was a pain to install - instructions were not great

And I really like the shape of the cubes. Only bad part is you have to let the maker make quite a few batches of ice, because it leaves a weird "new plastic chemical" taste when the ice melts in your drink.

The bottom freezer fridge has an oversize receptacle largest I have ever owned and the icemaker makes plenty of ice to keep it full.
