It may leak a little water when filling the ice maker up. Other than that pain in the neck, it's just a standard ice maker.

When the refrigerator was delivered the icemaker was not installed due to a dent. We installed it ourselves. Called support and got zero direction or help. It never worked at all. We removed it to return it and realized it was past the 30 day return window.

Best Buy definitely gives you a headache to get it exchanged. They tell you to go through the manufacturer. Insignia is a Best Buy brand.

In May I purchased a new refrigerator with this ice kit. After 6 different tech have come our and 3 replacements the ice kit still hasn't produced ice. One of the replacements worked for a week or two then it just produced a massive iceburg. Very disappointing from Bestbuy. I have always have excellent customer service from Bestbuy until now. I called multiple times placed on hold asking at the end for a supervisor someone who could actually help me to no avail. Terrible experience, bad product.
