Decent indoor TV

This one was cheap and everything I needed for an indoor TV to a bedroom TV. It catches channels at 20-25 miles away from my home. The antenna is really sensitive. I can move in 2-3 inches (a few degrees) and it will catch certain channels better. It doesn't take up much space, either. It's overall a great buy for a bedroom TV within 20 miles of local broadcast antenna.

I think it's great! I plugged it up to the coaxial, after the very easy assembly, and did a channel scan. I pulled in approximately 40 crystal clear channels in the suburbs of Portland. I definitely wasn't expecting to get so much quality TV for an inexpensive, small indoor antenna. You do have to move it, or reposition it, but that's why I chose this retro model, because the last time I had an antenna was back when that's what was standard for indoor, and I know how to maneuver it. It's a great buy, and stands nicely vs those awkward flat antennas. Insignia is a good brand also, as I purchased this with my Insignia smart tv. It's Best Buy's own electronics brand, but it is just as good, or better than the big name competition. I highly recommend!

This antenna is very reasonably priced and good for its value. It takes a little adjusting to get good reception but works good for what I bought it for. Picks up all local channels with about 30 total channels picked up.

Wanted to "cut the cable" so I purchased this antenna so I could get local stations. I have a new smart TV and all the fancy (expensive) antennas I bought could not seem to get a signal. Thought I'd try this as a last resort and voila...it works! Not perfect when the weather is bad but it's good enough to make me happy. My cable company was too expensive and their signal was no better than this antenna...so for $10, I freed up some money each month!

I was a bit skeptical about this old "rabbit ear" style indoor antenna but I am able to receive all my local over the air stations and then some. Didn't even realize there would be dozens of other stations out there (like ME and H&I, plus many other PBS and educational channels) that are FREE.
Needed to move it around a bit to find the best location but even on top/behind a TV and not near a window were getting more than we imagined with many shard HD quality broadcasts - and many that are old shows in SD but they look the same as they would via Comcast - and DirecTV didn't even have some of these channels!
With this and steaming it's GOODBYE Xfinity and AT&T and HELLO SAVINGS! I might get a Tivo so I Can record the OTA shows I want to watch but I never realized how little I needed the cable/satellite companies until I hooked this up.
AND - if you do want some of the cable channels (or premium/movies) there are numerous streaming services that offer almost all of them at a fraction of standard service offerings.
Enjoy the savings!

Awesome when pairing with the same brand converter box. I do find that I have to adjust as much as with the RCA but I know the performance of both antenna's are due to the area I live. In the analog days, the performance of the rabbit ear antenna's with the dial worked best. I had price in mind when I made this purchase and I am pleased with the product.

Good Digital Antenna

This antenna is good for the price. If your looking to get a lot of over the air HD channels it depends on the area your at but this antenna is not powerful enough to collect a lot of channels. I got in my area about 45 out of the 845 Over the air HD channels available all together. That might not seem a lot but I bought before a $75 Digital Antenna and only got 69 HD of over the air channels. The channels that do come in using this antenna are clear when its not very windy! If you ever owned a digital antenna before you would know when its windy out side then your picture will be delayed or unclear. Overall this is a good digital antenna for the money and works well.

Decided to ditch cable and wanted some TV options. Bought this for $20. Took 2 minutes to hook up to my 2008 Vizio VW42L and a few more minutes to scan channels. I got about 40 channels, some of which I never heard of, and the closer network channels come in crystal clear HD. And its small enough to hide behind the TV.

I am very impressed with this antenna, not only was this product affordable, the reception and picture is great! I tried several different powered indoor antennas before this one, so you can imagine I didn't have high hopes for this one. Man was I wrong, It picks up more local channels than all of the others put together. Save yourself some time and money...try this one first.

purchased this as a backup source since i’m a streaming tv user. assembled and connected easily and was able to pickup 3 of the 4 major networks and pbs and cw with no issues. same results on all three of my tvs. wasn’t able to get abc but that is hard to pickup in my area without and attic or outdoor antenna. for my use as a backup if the internet goes out i’m pleased with the results.

A Very Good Antenna

Having had cable, uverse and satellite in the past and living in a metropolitan area I wanted something for a backup in case of signal loss during foul weather. This little antenna does the trick. It provides a decent picture and as long as the tv staion is transmitting I can get the information I need. I liked this antenna enough that I've now bought three.

The Insignia™ - Indoor HDTV Antenna is a decent antenna that does a good job of picking up over-the-air HDTV signals. Its true usefulness will depend on your location and how close you are to source signals. For the price, it is a good option for those who do not want to pay the high cost for satellite and/or cable TV.

I live 15-20 miles from the local stations. In order to receive the stations I had to add about 4 feet of coaxial cable and place the antenna close to my ceiling. That being said this was more of an experiment as much as anything else. I do get my local stations strong enough to get almost all with standard reception and some with 720I and some with 1080i reception. It is liveable as mostly I am interested with local news where HD isn't all that much important to me. I will likely upgrade to a better antenna to put in my attic at some future time as I don't like the looks of it being located by the ceiling . I had no video reception ( just audio ) anywhere the original cable would reach.

I’m only a few miles from the towers and the reception is pretty good. I’m pulling in 35 channels. We’re watching old shows on Start TV. It isn’t one of the channels our cable company provides.

The little antenna is replacing "
Rabbit Ear's" I am approximately 30 miles from the strongest station .Works fine the other ones take tinkering to get the best out of it. It ended up best reception is in a lampshade appx. 3 feet up. Don't expect miracles....But be prepared for a nice surprise. For less than$10...
