I had a very old rabbit ears attached to the TV, one of the antenna that could be adjusted for length was broken and it had no UHV antenna. Also it looked pretty beaten up. It was time for a new antenna, looks good and appears to bring the signal in better.

Alright antenna

Only get for inexpensive, occasional use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This antenna works better than the one it replaced, but one of the telescoping antennas broke the first time I extended it. The cord is long enough to place within 5 feet of the tv. Base is slightly too light, thus it moves a little too easily if the cord or base is bumped lightly. But this is the best antenna for the price. I was looking for a real inexpensive antenna for a basement tv I occasionally use. This did the trick, and I can now get in stations that were intermittant at best before. It didn't get the reception I was hoping for; I still have to play with antenna occasionally to tune a station. I had to tape the last rung of the extended antenna that pulled out when it was first extended, but I don't think it affects reception much, so I didn't return it.

Overall very good

I got this one because it claimed to pick up to forty miles. However, Channel two can not be picked up anywhere in house or room and its tower is only twenty two miles. Over channels are clear and perfect. Some channels of course need to be adjusted.
