However, it did not work for me so I thought maybe I should go back to trying the old school ones. It did get me more channels but I still had trouble trying to get channel 2 .

I borrowed a set of old rabbit ear antennas that extended much further and was able to pick up at least several stations. Apparently, the signal strength was too weak with this antenna so it was basically useless.

I totally know how this could turn out inconvenient for you. However, be mindful that the reception depends more on your location and distance to the stations. If you had an antenna with that physically extends further, then the location was an issue resolved by the extension of the antenna.

It is able to pull in the signal from 70 miles away 24/7 and same days even further. Well worth trying as you cannot beat the price.
