The metal ring is strong enough that I don’t have to worry about it falling off of my keychain. Luckily I haven’t lost my keys yet but the find my keys test worked perfectly.

The ring opening is spring loaded so it's fairly easy to open and clip on most things. I wouldn't use it as a key ring but I did attach it to my current key ring. I also attached one to an inside hook of my backpack.
