This works perfectly for me. Great price. Solves the "what size jack is on my home phone" problem by providing the adapter! With Radio Shack gone, these audio adapters are hard to find. The adapter gives me the flexibility to use this headset on my home phone, cellphone, and computer. I make a lot of my own voice recordings for my business, so this flexibility is a great deal! The adjustable volume control is also a good option. Keeps high or low volume calls adjusted to your listening level.
Good price too.

Headset not for normal or small heads

This headset works well and the sound quality is good. But it’s a little too big for my head. If the earpiece is on my ear, the other side is on the top of my other ear. I did not expand it at all. I don’t use it a lot, so I’m dealing with it.
So if you have a normal sized head, this may be too big for you.

Comfortable with great sound both from the ear piece and mic. Perfect for office work where having hands free to do other tasks is particularly useful. Built in mute switch allow for quick private talking within the office without having to try and cover the mic and whisper. The arm is adjustable for locating well and head band also adjusts for different size heads. Sound adjustment comes in handy when talking to someone particularly loud to keep from blasting your ear.

Got this to replace Plantronics-branded headsets of the same type for my Panasonic cordless phones - who's cords both shorted out within a year of gentle usage. This headset seems to be more durable & better quality, along with better audio quality for both myself & the end-caller; even the in-line volume/mute switch is better than my previous headset. Will be ordering couple more for my other cordless handsets/spares.

This is not a high-end headset, which is obvious by price. However, I really like the bendable ear-to- talking microphone. It is light weight and comfortable to wear. My only complaint is that the head attachment part slips. However, I have long hair and maybe that makes a difference. I like it with 2 sections for conforming to your head shape. I prefer this hands-free headset over the last one I bought a few years ago, for about the same price and different brand.

I recently purchased the Insignia™ - Landline Hands-Free Headset with 2.5mm Connection - Black and I’ve been quite satisfied with it. The headset is comfortable to wear, thanks to the foam ear pads. I love that it’s reversible, allowing me to wear it on either ear.
The sound quality is good, and the in-line volume control and mute switch are very convenient. The noise-reducing microphone is a great feature, ensuring clear call quality. The 2.5mm audio jack provided an easy connection to my landline phone1.
However, I noticed that the product has a rating of 3.7 out of 5 stars from 16 ratings on Amazon. Some users might have had different experiences, but for me, this headset has been a great addition to my home office setup. I would recommend the Insignia™ - Landline Hands-Free Headset with 2.5mm Connection - Black to anyone in need of a reliable and comfortable headset for their landline phone.

I have used many of these over the past 8 years. All tend to go out pretty fast after around 8 months of use... I have not used these more than an month, so I cannot comment on the longevity of the device. I do like that the cord is twice as long as all the others I have had in the past! This is so helpful!! the Mute and volume control work perfectly as described. No feedback for me or the customer. The headband part is extremely comfortable as it is bendy and not still like others. It works perfectly with my Cisco VoIP office phone. Great price.

I still use a landline for many of my calls. This headset is comfortable and has good sound. I do wish the cord wasn't as long. I also wish that the volume control was a little stickier because it often gets nudged when it brushes against my arm or clothing. However, I've purchased this twice and will purchase it again when this one dies.

My original headset bit the dust after many years. Though I don't use a headset very often, it comes in mighty good when needed.
The cord is a little longer than I would prefer but that may be a plus to some users. I use it with my Panasonic home phone.
I thought my old one was good but this Insignia is even better. Seems to be better quality and it sounds great on my end and the people I m talking to say is sounds good to them Very satisfied. I bought an "Open Box" item and saved a few dollars.

I bought this as a replacement for one that I purchased 2 years ago. I used the previous headset daily about 6 hours a day with no issues. Excellent sound quality for received calls and recorded calls. The new headset works as well as the first. Comfortable to wear. I like that it can be used on either ear. Rarely have I found a product that I have been so pleased to use. You will not regret purchasing this if the specifications meet your requirements!

Works good. Better quality than I thought. I ran over the shirt clip with my office chair and expected it to be toast. But, to my surprise, they designed it to pop out. So, I snapped it back in and it worked fine. Surprising! This has been working for over 3 months now without problems. My last one from Panasonic only lasted 32 days with no practical RMA.

Headset works great. I'm old school and one of the few that still have a home phone. I don't like talking on my cell phone all of the time. I also don't like holding a phone to my ear. So I purchased this for my home phone. The sound is crystal clear. I like the fact that the microphone and headpiece are adjustable. And you have the option to mute the conversation from the headphone. I just clip my phone to my side and go about my day. The cord length works perfectly. The earpiece is very comfortable. The price is right. The quality seems great. I would highly recommend this item.

Very good digital audio recorder

I was pleasantly surprised with the audio quality. Both the microphone input and the built in speaker.
This is mono audio device but still sounds great with the built in speaker.
Once the batteries were installed and I first turned it on. It default to a beep to signify mode changes and a beep that it's on.
I didn't wan't this feature and found it was easily disabled in the configuration menu.
The microphone has a SQH Super High Quality mode which is very good quality and it's sensitive enough to pick up distant sounds and amplify them.
It also has audio jacks for headphones and external microphone. Both are good features.
However, I was disappointed (at first) as there was no way to export the audio files to a PC or Mac. I expected a USB output but there isn't one.
I was about to return it but looked up how to save files to your PC from a Sony ICD-BX140 to a PC or Mac.
Both Sony and Best Buy had a how to page with simple steps to save your files to a computer.
Basically it involves plugging an audio cable with mini jacks from the Sony ICD to my computer's audio input jack.
Then use either QuickTime (Mac) or Voice Recorder (PC) Start record with Voice Recorder New File for QuickTime and hit Play on the Sony.
It worked and the audio quality was very good.
I would have preferred either a USB output or Micro SD card but the above solution worked great.
I'm keeping it.
It's a durable, high quality recorder.

The headset is used for home office and since its a wired set, it connects directly to the handheld phone. We have not found a suitable, cheap, working bluetooth alternative, so we got this and it does get the job done. Sound is clear, people hear us fine and it is comfortable. If you know what you are looking for, this is a great option and would recommend

Great headset for cordless phone

It is a great headset for the price. I only use headsets with my cordless phones on both my business and personal lines. It frees my hands for paperwork/notations and much better than using a speakerphone. They do need replacing after extensive use when the fragile wire starts to breakdown inside from getting twisted. But, that is life.

It's hard to find a headset for a landline phone these days. This one was reasonably priced, is comfortable to wear and sound quality is good. I use it everyday and it has worked fine for the past eight months. I would recommend it.

I didn't know what to expect when I bought this item. But the pandemic left me desperate to find a headset I could connect to a landline phone. This turned out to be perfect! It has a metal connector tip to make the connection, which was exactly what I needed. It even has a mute functionality on the headset - though I have yet to use it. The sound is clear and the microphone works well. So then why not a five? The cord is too long! I guess that is a good option for those that cannot carry the phone with them and need the reach. But as I can and do, I have had to get creative to keep from tripping over the cord as I move around. On the positive, no more headset holder's neck cramp or inadvertent button hitting. So given the price and functionality, I am glad I made the purchase.
