Customers are saying

Customers love the excellent sound quality and ease of use of this hands-free landline headset. Many appreciate the long cord and lightweight design, making it comfortable for extended use. However, some customers found the volume to be too low and the fit slightly uncomfortable. The headset's compatibility with various phone systems is also a plus for many users.

Works like a charm! Good sound quality and volume control. The clip is convenient as is the lengthy cord.

After spending 4 times as much on other brands that didn't work with Polycom ip phones I tried these. The best buy ones actually worked and people could hear my staff in a noisy restaurant. The multi selector switch will change the microphone pinout for other phone brands but on #1 the Polycom worked. Comes with mute button for training.

I purchased this corded headset to use with my AT&T 2 Line corded phone for my home business. I was not impressed. This headset is terrible. The connector that is inserted in the phone does not work well. My calls were so unclear that I had to go buy another headset immediately. I am very disappointed to have $20.00 on this headset.

Best $20-$25 I've spent!! I purchased these for myself to use at work. I am a finance manager, so I am on the phone alot or even most of the day and am often having to multi-task. For whatever reason, I am the world's worst when it comes to tangling up the phone cord. The sound is clear, have volume control, very long wire allowing you to move around without having to remove them, professional looking, made well, easy to set up/plugs right into the back of a landine phone and use, allows you to be able to multi-task, etc. They were referred to me and I have referred them to others. Would purchase again.

    Good and inexpensive headset

Compared to some other headsets on the market, this one is quite affordable, however, for me it was not plug and play. When I initially took it out of the box, I thought either my phone or headset was broken because I got absolutely no audio, and had to read the directions. There is a slider (which I figured was for volume) that is in fact 'headset type selection'. You need to adjust this slider to match your phone type. I tried this on 3 different phone models, and it worked on all 3, with some adjustments. I wanted to post my findings here in case it helps anyone else. Here are the optimal settings I found for the phones that I have access to: Snom D765 (should be the same across all D700 series phones) - Headset type slider set to "2" on the headset controls. Mitel/Aastra 6867i (should be the same across all 6800 series phones) - Headset type slider set to "1" on the headset controls (leave the plastic insert to make the port smaller in place on the phone). Nortel/Avaya 1165e (should be the same across all 1100 series phones) - Headset type on phone set to Type 2 under Prefs > Audio > Headset > Headset Type. On the headset itself, set the slider to Type "1". In some ways, I wish this headset was simpler, since most phones already have a mute switch and volume controls on them, so it seems kind of duplicate to have them on the headset too. And I wish that it was more plug and play. Other than that, the audio quality seems to be good once you get your settings on both the phone and headset correct. And the price was also right too.

Some reviews I read about this seemed to judge this low cost headset badly. Such as one who said to have heard an echo and other communication issues. I don't know how long that person used it for but just remember there's nothing special about this. It's just a simple headset that transmits analog audio signals from your base phone. If there's an issue about echoes, etc it's your base phone causing that not the headset. Of course if you hear crackling especially when you're moving it around, then we can deduce the culprit is the headset and or its wire. You just have to troubleshoot it as a technician (you just don't judge a single component as bad without testing the rest). Anyway this headset works great and most people hear me well and also I hear them well. I had only one phone call with echo for the first couple of seconds, then went away. I didn't judge the headset as bad because I'd had experience with a wireless headset also connected to the same phone which occasionally manifested the same issue. This will happen a lot with VoIP's. Conclusion, it's a good headset. If there are issues with longevity, then I'll return here to update.

This headset was easy to install and has great sound quality. It is interesting that it has different channels so it should work with an style phone. I like the mute and volume features on the wire, it makes it easier when using the headset especially when moved some distance from the actual phone. The cord is long which is great, I can stand up and walk around without the 'hollow' sound of using the speaker phone.

So far I really like my Insignia headset. I don't receive static, cord is long enough, like the mute and volume feature and it's light. Great for the price.

Clear voice. Easy to setup and use. Comfortable enough to wear for long periods. Very long cord. Only issue is when you hit mute it makes a noise like you disconnected the call. Other than that, extremely happy with the purchase.

Easy to use, plug and play technology. Only giving it three stars due to clinkiness of the wire and volume and mute button. Also clients have a hard time hearing me and I have to constantly adjust the volume abs click the buttons on top to adjust.

Headsets with RJ9 connectors are rapidly becoming extinct. Unfortunately some companies refuse to update their office equipment, so this unit is really the only choice in antiquated workplaces. It's fairly flimsy, but fully functional and relatively affordable. Good luck finding one in a store though, it seems to only be available online. The shipment was prompt. I just wish there was an affordable RJ9/Bluetooth device out there that would serve the same purpose, as the wires can be a pain.

Nice headset, with good sound on both ends. I like the separate volume control and mute button so I don't have to use those functions on the phone. Fairly comfortable but could use a pad on the opposite side of the ear piece.
