After trying to play 3 different DVDs, I gave up until I thought getting a cleaner. Popped it in to the player once, popped in my Redbox movie, it works!!!

Great CD Drive Laser Cleaner

Trouble shooting my dvd player

A suggestion by bestbuy employee to purchase dvd cleaner disc before purchasing new DVD player. It resolved the issue. Once again honesty at bestbuy!
