It has a great option that allows a huge light that can then be switched to a narrow bean. For reasons I don’t understand changes modes by itself. Don’t know if defective. Too much trouble to exchange. I tried one flashlight so far. What I liked most was it takes AA batteries. Most flashlights take three AAA batteries, which is always a pain.
