I used this to clean some discs in my home. It did a really nice job. You have to make sure what kinds of discs you can clean, but it is listed clearly on the directions and the box.

If you get DVD's from the library weekly, this is good to go. Have cleaned over 25+ disks thus far. Very deep scratches can be fixed after 2-3 tries to get a player to read through. Light scratches can be fixed immediately with no loss. Best bet is to keep the disk repairer on a table when running it. Neat Trick --> this will clean/repair a game cube disk. Simply stick a pencil in the hole while turning the handle. Construction is solid, and the unit can last a few years if taken care of properly. Distilled water is the best to use.

I used to have something to repair CDs, but I'm not sure what happened to it when I moved. I was very pleased to find this product Best Buy because I want to be able to keep my CDs and DVDs in good shape.

I gave this to my son-in-law for Christmas - he is very excited to use it on damaged DVDs!! I read reviews and talked to a sales person at Best - decided this would be a good purchase!!

i bought an old xbox with a bunch of games, most of the games were in bad condition, but this fixed them.

Was skectical at first but said what the heck I'll try it. My dvds were sratched cosmetically. Ran them through the repair system. Did it twice and vioala it worked and they're still playing. Money saved!!

Look we all have older gaming consoles this is a must in any household that has game discs simple to use and straight forward operation

I was so pleased that they still sell this type of product for Dvd users...The handle is a bit awkward to use, but it does an incredible job of getting rid of scratches and debris on a DVD.

I was skeptical, as my kids had basically destroyed all their favorite movies. Several had been dragged along concrete. Now every disc works perfectly!

Bought this as I was unable to get new cleaning pads for my older electric disc repair system. This one works alright, but is difficult for me to use. I would recommend it though.

Brought back Wii games from the dead. My kids are so excited to be playing these old games again. Won't work for the WiiU games, but is amazing for the oldies!

It was a disc I received from my Doctor of 30 yrs, with all my medical records on it. The disc repair did not work, even thought I had the geek squad in the store help me. I was told it was a very old disc that the records were copied on, and not the fault of anything else. I was able to return the item, so it was no charge to me, just the loss of very valuable info on my health history. No fault of anyone from Best Buy who genuinely tried to help me.

Bought this to repair movies that our son had scratched up, so far seems to work good, only complaint is I wish the crank handle stayed on better, wants to pop off occasionally.

I have a few moderately scratched cd disk's as well as a scratched DVD. One disk has been scratched for years and I had simply given up on it. The Insignia scratch repair kit did an excellent job of repairing the disk,however two other disk after several attempts to repair them failed.Although some tracks that were previously unplayable were now indeed playable,other tracks are simply a loss casualty. One scratched DVD had some improvement,but all in all it also had to deemed a loss. So it seems that Insignia Manual disk repair system is a hit and miss situation.

This product really works! had some old disk that didn’t work from bad scratches.

Fixed my old discs right up and at a cheap price. Mia of my things are digital right now but it's nice to still be able to use my old ones.
