Except for the very industrial casing, this is a very good adapter. No problem to connect. No configuration necessary or possible.

It's always great to find a less expensive but still high-quality alternative to Apple's cables. The Insignia Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt to DVI cable adapter is no different than Apple's product, but it's 20% less expensive. I believe this product will last as long as I need it to.

Performs as expected. After daily use for several months, no issues.

I needed an adapter to connect a Dell USB-C dock to my 20" Apple Cinema Display. This fits the bill perfectly. I think the box said for Mac but this is working on a Windows 10 machine too. Also worked with my 2011 MacBook Pro.

I would not hesitate to buy this adapter as it worked flawlessly on my MacBook Pro. The materials used make it solid and I feel like it will withstand more wear and tear than other cables/adapters I've had in the past! I would not hesitate buying this!

Recently bought another Dell S2340M monitor and since it didn't have an HDMI input I needed VGA or DVI. This cable did the trick and it puts a beautiful picture on my monitor! Probably the best for the price. Its cheaper than what apple wants.

I needed a way to hook my new Acer S200HQL monitor to my new MacBook Air, and this adaptor just happened to be available in the "open box" section of Best Buy for about $15. That's the thing about adaptors like this: They either work, or they don't. The only reasons to return them are: * It's straight-up broken when you get it home (in which case it won't end up on the "open box" shelf), so you have to return it. * You bought the wrong one. (i.e. You needed a VGA adaptor, and you got DVI instead.) Knowing this, I figured that there couldn't be anything wrong with the adaptor, even at the open box price. And, as expected, it worked (and continues to work) flawlessly from the moment I hooked it up. Even at full price, this would be a great purchase. At the open box price it was a steal!

We purchased this for use with a Surface Pro 2017. It works as expected and has had no trouble when connected to the Surface Pro Mini Display port directly or to the Surface Dock.

this is perfect for anyone with a DVI enabled monitor and a macbook pro. It allows for high quality dual monitor usage quickly and efficiently. It also saves you $1000 on a thunderbolt display!

Wanting to use some of the old DVI monitors around the school we invested in a number of these to connect the mac to them, found them to be very reliable adapter

Just needed an adapter so that I could add a second monitor to a mac mini, and the inputs did not match with the monitor I had. This did the trick, and everything works great

I bought this for the Surface Pro dock, to hook it up to an old monitor. The image is crystal clear, and the monitor was picked up right away by the Surface Pro.

The connector works fine. The staff was less than helpful. I brought in the cable I needed to use the adapter with and they guy wasn't sure but thought this one should work. He reassured me of Best Buy's return policy just in case. Nothing like instilling confidence in your customer. So I carefully opened the box to make sure it fit correctly and he lost his mind. He said if I open the box I HAVE TO purchase it even if it it is the wrong adapter because you cannot open the boxes. I kindly reminded him of their excellent return police he had just told me about. Fortunately it was the right adapter so I didn't need to return it.

I would have given it 5 stars but the packaging caused the adapter cable to curve in the opposite direction of my monitor which was a little annoying. (DVI cable was in the way of things.) Cable eventually straightened out and all is good.

Works great buy it without any doubt, you can use it to extend the desktop or to project your main one. Really good quality, looks really good and seems to last.

This was a great find. I was originally looking for it for my wife’s Dell, but it ended up working great for adding a second screen to my MacBook Air.

My best friend has one of these and so do some coworkers whose opinion I value. So I went and bought it. It works great for watching on tv, whatever you pull up on your phone. However, your phone will be tethered to the tv. Otherwise it deserves all five stars!

Mission accomplished with this adapter. I was able to connect an older monitor to my new Surface Pro dock using the adapter.
