I don't have much space on my desk and I have to take notes. I am able to sent my papers on top of the mouse pad and I not have to worry about any bumpy spots. The item has a felt material on top which creates a smooth interaction with the mouse and the bottom is a rubberized material. The mouse works perfect on it with no skipping or pauses. My desk has a glass top and because the bottom of the mouse pad is a rubber material the mouse pad stays in place and does not move around. For the price paid it does exactly what it's supposed to do.

One of the ancient wonders of yesteryear. It seemed that the surfaces in my computering world were becoming unusable. So I finally returned to the one and only mouse pad that I knew would resolve that problem/annoyance completely. It did! Got on the Best Buy web page and in minutes, it was: PROBLEM SOLVED!!! I now have positive mouse control again and move faster through my daily work. And, it calming to look at and that's not a little aspect of this beautiful mouse pad. Also, because it takes me back to me and my wife's vacation in Hawaii.
