For the most part, mouse pads don't have a lot to differentiate themselves except for bulk/color/appearance. This pad is lightweight and the design was "classic" instead of being too plain, or too "kiddish," or too gaudy. I am using this computer mouse pad in a common area and I wanted to make sure that it did not clash with the surroundings and/or that it did not look to boringly functional. I am happy with this purchase.

You think a new mouse pad would help with moving easier, I can tell you this mouse pad does the job. My old mouse pad was getting old and the mouse wasn't moving as smoothly as it use to be brand new. This was a good purchase for the home office.
