Helped me find my phone buried in snow

Got pounded with a late snowstorm. Had to go for one more rip on the snowmobile. As luck would have it, I got stuck in a deep and very full ditch. I battled to get my machine free and in the process, didn't zip my pocket after the call to my neighbor for a pull and my old note 5 ended up 6' or so deep in the snow. I noticed it was missing when I got hung up the second time and had moved about 20 ft from my initial predicament. The ear buds / headphones "look" for your phone and emit a beep and says "your device is connected " when you get back in range. This was EPIC in narrowing down the search area. Not only did I find it on my first dig, it was in immaculate condition. It had been stomped on, ran over, and shoveled. It was fine largely due to the waterproof punk case I put it in. Thank you insignia for this incredible device. Without it, I wouldn't be writing this glowing review this evening.

Decent Quality - A bit bulky

The wire on my previous headset was crackling, so I went into BB to see what they had. This model was on sale (clearance, I think). It's a bit bulky and heavy, but the sound quality is good and my wife said that when I'm speaking with her while I'm driving she can barely hear any background noise. The active noise cancellation is really good - but REMEMBER to turn it off, even if the headphone main control is off, the ACN still remains activated until the hard switch is turned off. When turning it on, a voice says "Power On" and "Your device is connected", but won't tell you what the battery level is - my old one used to say things like "Battery Full" or "Batter Level High" It doesn't give much warning when the battery level is low. I paid $40, the regular price was $80 and because it was so cheap, I added the extended warranty.

The sound is very clear. I am hearing instruments in songs I had not heard with other cheap ear buds. I like the layout of the buttons and the ear buds fit perfectly. I like the built in switchable mike so you can hear people talking to you without taking one of the buds out of your ears. The batteries last a long time. The retractable buds are unique but I hold on to the cord to the force of them snapping back into the holder doesn't wear the connection and eventually rip off the bud. I have never had noise canceling buds before so I don't know how well these perform that function. The collar unit is a bit large but I just wear them for casual listening and seems fine. The size might be a problem when jogging or running. Also, I don't use it to answer the phone so I cannot judge that function. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

The audio is good. No connection issues. Charging seems to be fine so far. I could be mistaken but I thought it vibrated earlier when I got a spam call also. So I don't have most of the other gripes others have with this model. With that said, the buttons just don't make sense. I used to have a super cheap BT headset that had a power button, volume buttons, and skip buttons. This one has 3 buttons that do everything. I've also started to get static/crackle when I move. I generally keep my phone in my back pocket so I wouldn't expect it to be having connection issues but something is going on. I've had it 2 months so I don't know if there is warranty or anything that would help me out so I guess I'll just keep them until I decide to splurge on something else.

I purchased this as a replacement to my LG headset HBS 770. The LG doesn’t last as long as they used to and the Tone and Talk app for IOS isn’t compatible with the headset I have. I spoke with the salesperson and he said this headset was their store brand replacement for LG users. My first impression of this headset when I opened the box was “cheap”. It felt like a clunky, cheap toy one would purchase at the dollar store. Unfortunately, my opinion didn’t change. Every person I spoke with said that they couldn’t hear me. The headset kept moving and turning, which was annoying. It was heavy and extremely uncomfortable. The retractable wires were noisy and sounded like a toy. The only positives that I have are the audio was decent and it was easy to pair with my iPhone. I am returning this headset...very disappointed.

I am pretty fussy about my headphones and went through two other types of headphones before I tried these. I'm a transcriptionist, so need headphones that are sensitive enough to hear everything. These work great, are not super-expensive, and are better than the Bose over-the-ear and earbuds that I tried before this. I don't need them for music, so bass isn't really that big a deal for me, but quality sound is and these are really great. Still figuring them out (only had them 2 days, so far), but all in all, a good buy. And, the people at Best Buy were really nice and completely understanding when I brought the other two headphones back.

Pros: I think the sound quality is great, and the mic seems pretty good too. The noise canceling is definitely there and helpful. Cons: This unit slides around way to easily. The noise canceling component is rather large but it is mangeable. It is a little clunky, at times, connecting to my cell phone, though it will work, even if sometimes I need to shut off/on again. The biggest issue for me is that it does not vibrate. Had I caught that fact, I would not have bought it. So, if the ear bud is off, and your phone is silenced (common for me), you'll miss calls.

We bought these for my fiance to use at work. The sound on these headphones was pretty decent. Fairly loud with a good balance and the built in mic picked up voice nicely during phone conversations. It was easy to setup and begin use. Unfortunately the quality in product manufacturing was lacking. Less than 2 months after the purchase, the headphones no longer will hold a charge. This of course happened just after the point I could return them with BestBuy so now I'll be stuck arguing with the manufacturer.

I have used the LG headsets for some time and like them very well. Best Buy no longer offers extended warranties on LG so I tried this headset. It works as advertised. It is a little heavier. Unlike LG is does not vibrate when the phone rings. That is a helpful trait. I couldn't tell the noise cancelling helped. It is also a little bulkier than the LG, not too much. My BIG complain is they lasted 4 weeks before they began buzzing. When I turned it off they would not come back on. 4 weeks is a very short life!

I tpically have the updated version of this but This was on sale when I went to exchange mine so I purchased it. I don't know If I'm a good person to review as I tend to break anything electronic. These headphones seem to be holding on though, for dear life as I continue to use them with one side a little broken. You don't hear as clearly as you do on the upgraded versions. Also, these turn on and off randomly, which is very annoying. I just got used to them.

I had this bluetooth headset for a week now. I charged it for about 7 hours overnight and connected them the next morning. On the phone screen, it said 50% charge remaining after 7hours of charging with no use. Then 6 minutes into my phone conversation, they shut off and wouldn't reconnect. I assumed they died. I charged them again and the same thing happened. I will be returning them tomo. Save your pennies and go with a brand you know. I've never used this brand and I doubt I'll try it again.

Bought these on sale, and feel like I got a really great deal. I have never used noise cancelling headphones before, and once you press the button for noise cancelling you can't hear anything except whatever you are listening too. The music is very clearly and good bass. These are incredible, especially if you catch them on sale. My only complaint is that they have a few more buttons than I am accustomed too, but other than that, they were great. I would highly recommend a pair.

I have been using wireless headsets with these designs for some time now and this has been the one with the poorest quality. It takes some time getting used, the retractable button is a pain, sound is not as good, and it often falls out from my ears. The overall feel gives the impression is that is cheap. I had been using the LG headset and the quality was far superior but BB stop offering replacement plans so I gave this one a shot. In hindsight, I should have stuck with the LG despite not having a replacement plan.

I brought this bluetooth and the 1 first one I thought was defective because it didn't vibrate while wearing it around your neck. So I returned it and the second one was the same effective. You have to keep the bud in your ear in order to know someone is calling. Waste of money, I went back to get the LG Tone Talk because I had it before but I lost it, they discontinue it. The warranty doesn't replace lost items. Don't waste your money on Insignia bluetooth, you will never know whose calling you unless you keep that bud in your ear. SMH! :(

    Noise canceling not so great

The noise canceling doesn't seem to do much. Also it has a separate power button from everything else. This could be considered a feature or a disadvantage depending on what you are looking for. When the headphones are in, if you rub the cables connecting to them (move your head) then you can hear hear this greatly amplified in your ears. This is a common issue with these types of headphones. The Black Friday price of $40 or $50 was barely worth it. Just enough to make me not go through the effort to try and return them.

I purchased this at the Black Friday last year. At that time the price was very budget friendly, but after I've been using this, I concluded that it's not worthy to pay a full price. The most annoying point of this machine is that it's too hard to call. I tested it with my friend, and he said that he's very hard to hear my voice through this earphone, and I was so when I gave this to him. Music quality is not bad, but not excellent. Not much heavy. But not good for calling.

Brand new, I tried it and it does not work. The Bluetooth does not connect, to pair with your phone..I had other Bluetooth devices and I'm not new doing the pair of this devices, but this one does not work. the worse part is, that I just tried it, and it is almost a month that I bough it, and now I saw a message that it can not be return anymore. I'm serious, this does not work. stay away from it, do not waste your time and money.

The noise canceling is great for road trips and flights. I’ve used the insignia earbuds for at least a dozen flights and love the sound quality for my music especially when the noise canceling is on. No outside noise and great sound quality for music. It’s important to get the buds to fit snug in your ear or outside noise can get in. It came with three different sizes for the ear pieces.

These are truly alright headphones. The noise cancellation is okay and it is "active" and honestly for the price I can't really complain. There's the option to use a cable to plug into your phone which is nice and weird at the same time because it's a micro USB to 3.5mm which I've never seen before but I like it. Battery life is also pretty good just wish when I bought mine they came in black. Of course now they do.

It was on sale and I thought it would be a great deal but unfortunately it wasn't worth the sale price. Headphones were big and gaudy when I took it out of the package. When I placed them around my neck it felt like I was wearing a horseshoe. Sound quality was ok at best. Right ear went out after only a couple of months. Didn't even want it after that. It paired well with my phone but that was about it.
