I really like this mic as I use it for my iPhone. The iPhone has a great mic already but this wired mic really helps the audio by enhancing it. it IS wired so it's great for sit down interviews or recording videos where you dont really move or walk around even though the wire is very very long. This works for me.

This was easy to set up and use. It improved the quality of my recordings tremendously. The only challenge was the cord length and avoiding getting tangled up in it as I walked around.

I had a video project for a Chinese in which I needed to take mobile videos with my S8+ with clear audio from conversations. This microphone worked well clipped to my lapel for my audio, as well as surrounding audio. With its long cord - it also works well in a studio environment with a camera/tripod setup.

Works great hooked up to my phone via a USB-C dongle adapter. Audio is crisp and clear, and the cord is super long to accommodate most situations.

As the title says this inexpensive little mic really helped me out with a last minute video interview project. It was the last one in stock, and the only lapel mic at the store. Didn't have much choice which was disappointing and I was hesitant to try the insignia mic. I have had good experiences with insignia tvs but nothing else. So I bought it and first thing I noticed was it came with a go pro adapter which was a nice bonus. I wish it would work with my sony a6000. The 3.5mm jack seemed to be made pretty well. The cable is nice and long, sometimes a bit cumbersome but could come in handy. The mic and clip are standard nothing really stands about either which is fine with me as long as it works well. It does work well, and in fact exceeded my expectations for the price in terms of features, performance, and compatibility. Since my a6000 doesn't have external mic support I used my iPhone for recording audio. I have an iPhone 7 plus and a 6S. I used the voice memo to record audio with this mic and on both devices the audio was very clear and crisp whether or not the lightning to 3.5mm adapter had to be used. Even on very windy days using the foam on the mic made wind noise virtually nonexistent. Way better quality then samples from Bluetooth wireless lapel mics I heard from classmates. Very good value and a must have for any videographers camera bag.

The mic has good sound and works great for the price. When you need a wired mic the wire is long enough to back away from the subject.

Works like a charm. You just have to ensure you turn it off when not using or it will use the battery up quickly. Good sound.

I have used this with both iPhone and SLR. Flawless audio quality in both instances and truly a lifesaver for quick production. Long cable and battery power for SLR hookup - all for $50? Bargain.

Make fb live audio much better. Easy to use. Glad I purchased it to use for church in Richmond. First UCC folks seem to like its nice pickup for projection.

Works for most cameras BUT I know first hand it doesn't work with SJ Cams since they have their own specific mic. Worked well with other cameras and comes with like 6 foot cord so plenty of slack

I use this all the time with my phone camera since ive had it. Hooks up easy and had a very long cord for covering long distance noise pickups. Clear sound too.

When Amazon didn't deliver my package in time for a documentary interview I had scheduled, I ran to Best Buy with hopes of finding what I needed at a decent price. I stumped on this omnidirectional lapel and was ecstatic. The only downside was it didn't fit my Fuji XT20 so I had to record audio into my iPhone and sync in post but otherwise - this was an amazing last minute purchase that I will continue to get use out of for a while.

This is the third mic from Insignia that I bought. They work great with any audio recorder, even your smart phone! It has a great deep rich sound after recording. I use the ZOOM H1 and H5 with it and the audio sounds clean and crisp. Just mess around with the audio volume to get a good VU. It's great to hide under the clothes for interviews and filmmaking as well. You can hide the ZOOM H1 in the pocket. Discreet.

I use this mic while recording my vlog in my car! Easy to hook up to my phone or cameras and produces great audio! Defiantly would recommend to new video producers.

What sold me on this mic with the '20 cord length. That gives a person a lot of options. And so far, the sound quality is great!

This exceeded my expectations. Recorded audio is crystal clear. Long plug wire is great for allowing versatility in set up.
