    This device is sold as a Optical/Coaxial Digital-to-Analog Converter however it does Not convert Optical 5.1 audio to Analog unless the TV Audio is set to CMS/Stereo. The Television can not do that unless is receiving a Antena signal, Cable connections will Not allow CMS/Stereo as a selection in the audio setup menu.
