I bought this converter to improve sound quality from a OLE digital TV into an older stereo system. There were issues with voice lagging vs on screen actors talking. The converter installs quickly. The voice lag issue to a little more adjusting on the TV but the sound quality was better.

The first one went bad after I stepped on it, but I seem to think that’s my fault. Very easy plug-in play highly recommend it.

It was easy to connect and link the device with digital converter and the audio output was excellent.

Works great! We needed this because of our weird combination of TV and AV receiver. Works exactly as advertised

I have 2 zones in my new receiver and one zone is for my main family room 5.1 audio setup. But, needed the second zone to drive my other set of speakers around the house. I wanted to drive audio output from my Samsung 4K Blue Ray player and needed this to convert the digital output to analog so 2nd zone can work. It works great and so happy wth it.

I enjoy watching TV with my Turtle Beach wireless headphones, however, I couldn't figure how to make them work while I was streaming. Watching tv with a box or watching DVDs are no problem, it's the streaming that I couldn't figure out. For 3 years it drove me crazy, then I go to Best Buy to explain what I need and 5 minutes later I'm out the door. I get home, connect it with a new cable and BINGO! Life it good!

Used this to connect my eversolo play with my Sonos 100 era. Working great so far.

Brother bought this using my best buy account, not exactly sure what its for, but it seems like its working, he hasn't asked me to return it yet...

Was just trying to find a simple plug up for my tv to my speakers and this was the only thing that i could find, not a big fan of this has to be plug into a outlet to work, but it does its job that's the most important part.

I was hesitant to buy this before reading the reviews but I had no other choice since I bought a new LG TV on Black Friday and it only had optical audio output. I used this to go from my new LG TV to a 2 channel amplifier and the sound is amazing. It sounds 100X better than my old tv with only RCA output. Great product but not sure how long it will last.

Was easy to use and install and works great not bad for the price

Needed to connect an analog set of wireless headphones to HD TV system for a hard-of-hearing person, without using the headphone jack (which cut out the sound for other viewers). This allow the connection via the optical audio output so that sound also comes through the built-in TV speakers.

My experience getting and finding this part was horrid. One employee just sucks at the job of customer service. Granted I knew what I wanted and was addimit they had it, her supervisor told her they did not. Stock shows 3 online.. you can't be off that much! So 10 minutes later, another person helped me out and we found all 3 of them! Easy to hook up! Easy to use! If you have a optical to RCA need, get this adapter.

Got an AWESOME deal at Best Buy on a Insignia / ROKU flat screen TV (so good, my Mom also bought one). Problem was the RCA (audio) jacks on the TV were inputs, not outputs. I have an older top of the line Surround Sound receiver, and it uses RCA (composite) inputs / outputs. Apparently someone at Insignia was thinking ahead, and designed this converter to use the optical audio out on their TV. GREAT JOB Insignia & Best Buy!!!

Bought a new tv that only has optical audio output but need analog out to wireless headphones. This does what I need it to do. I did have to adjust the output on the tv but that was easy once I found the setting on tv.

My friend has a really expensive but old amp and a new Sony TV. He tried for weeks before he gave up. He said it just doesn't work with a modern digital flatscreen. I knew there had to be a fix rather than going out and buying a new amp. I found this online. Combined with an optic wire, it turns the digital signal back into analog and his expensive amp and speakers provide fantastic sound quality.

I needed this converter for my TV to connect to an older Bose system. I had an idea what I wanted but just not specifically. The BB employee listened to my scenario and found it quickly.

I purchased this converter because I had no way to connect my excellent Seinheiser wireless headphones to my new 65 inch 4K TV. This TV has no analog audio outputs. I connected a digital optical audio cable to the TV, plugged it into the converter, plugged the transmitter for the headphones into the converter and now I have perfect sound anywhere in my house or even in my yard.

My tv did not have an optical digital audio connection, but my sound bar did. I got the tv on sale during black Friday and I wasn't going to return it. It was a great price for a 4K tv. My sound bar was a pretty good one as well, so the best deal was this converter. After ordering it online, I received in the mail in 3 days and connecting to my system was quick and painless and it worked perfectly.
