    I bought this to allow using some expensive analog computer speakers with my new TV instead of purchasing a sound bar but when I realized I needed to buy the digital optical cable it wasn't cost effective after all.

    Once again, the salesperson said that we needed this converter to hook up wireless headphones to our new TV. We did not. But if someone did need this, I guess it would be great. Glad BB has a good return policy.

    I used the product to connect my bedroom tv to remote speakers.Took me a few attempts to find the right channel using optical cable. Worked fine for a few months, then one day it no longer worked. Bummer
