Quit working less than 2 months after purchase. Not sure if we just got a bad one but will know more after we see what happens with the replacement unit.

The Insignia converters output was at least 6db lower than the Altona. This unit will not drive a headphone amp properly. You will need a lot of gain when using with a receiver. When you raise the volume you can hear the noise of the unit in the mix.
