Returned the unit a tried a second one with the same results. finally went to on line competitor and purchased one from a different label and am extremely satisfied.

It's said you get what you pay for. Well it wasn't just an open box, it was a defective part. The open box should have been the red flag. Now I get to waste the time taking it back.

Signal from splitter powers TV soundbar OK, but no signal from converter reaches amplifier, so no sound from auxiliary speakers.

Well, the technician tried his best, even using his own cables, but could not get the converter to work. Our guess is that the converter was fine, but was not designed to work with my stereo system. I was disappointed.

I tried for over an hour and just could not the sound to pass through. I played with all the suggested settings in the reviews. In the end I returned it a purchased a Logitech bluetooth receiver which connected in 5 minutes.

Store personnel said this would work to convert to analog receiver. Purchased one cord and did not work, store thought cord may be defective and gave us another, but still not success. All store personnel say this should work and do not know why it does not.

Other wise I probably would have returned it for replacement. It could be me or the product, just not sure.
