Replaced a different brand unit I had bought online that had a low level hum in it. This Insignia model has no hum and works great.

I bought an upgrade to my Roku only to find there's no analog audio out on this generation. This D-toA device was inexpensive and dirt simple to connect and put to use immediately. And I remembered to buy the cable while I was still in the store!

We bought this along with the Stereo Audio Cable to go from my husbands TV to a wireless speaker in his man cave and works perfect!

I'm a little hearing impared and need to use Earphones to correctly hear the voices on TV shows. I have TV Ears and on the newer TV's there is no where to plug it into them. This device makes it possible to add the ears and make watching TV pleasureable again

This is exactly what I needed...we looked everywhere and thank god we found this locally. Our surround sound system was very dated ( Bose system but sounds amazing ) and it only had rca cables as a connection. this has multiple options to be able to plug into the back of the tv.

Bought one of these a few months ago and it stopped working - may have been fried. Replacement works well connecting the smart TV to the existing sound system.

Need to connect my Xbox one to an analogue amp and speaker. I do not hv a receiver in my room. Manage to get this device where I can connect my Xbox via optical cable to this switch and the connect rca to my amp.

This converter saved me hundreds. I had a 5.1 channel set of PC Logitec Speakers that had a headphone jack and a New Smart TV that had a optical audio jack. This converter with the help of a RCA splitter cable allowed me to flawlessly connect the two technologies. Absolutely Awesome!

Will cause an echo if you try and use this in tandem with any other audio output device. Aside from that and there being no direct way to control volume, it works well.

The miniport on my Samsung tv was damaged and was rendered unusable. Fortunately the tv has an optical audio port, so was able to purchase the converted and hook up to my Bose sound system. The sound quality is excellent, with virtually undetectable distortion.

Connected my LG 65 tvs optical output to my 30 year old JVC surround sound receiver rca jacks and setting LG sound to correct setting. Worked great and solved the problem

Used this to connect the Roku sound bar to my tv. It’s older so no optical on the tv. It works perfectly! You will need an electric outlet for the unit and move the switch to the optical output.

I tried for months to get sound out of my Arc-out jack to an older model receiver. I bought various components and none worked. I finally tried this device and voila, I had great surround sound. Should have known about this 8 months ago.

I was wondering if anyone who is using this has had the problem when it just 'stops working'? I've had mine for awhile now, & has worked great, but now probably too old to get a replacement. I hate it that new tvs don't have just the regular RCA Audio out anymore & you have to buy extra things...that seem to always go out. :)

This works but you must have a separate remote for your sound system because it works independently of the TV. But audio is correct and it does work as a converter.

HDMI rules the day, but some still have great components that need adapters to work well. The optical / coaxial D/A converter supports connection of HDMI to RCA for use on older Receivers. Problem solved!

Good product as advertised. a couple other questions... does the glendelling synchronizer work? hows the oil consumption on the engines? how many hours did she have on her when current owner purchased it?
