    This worked perfect for what I needed it for! My sound went out on my HDMI output so I used the output from my directv box to a older sound bar with hdmi!!!

    The Insignia worked great at converting from Digital to Analog, so I could use the headphone jack on my Bose as my TV did not have BlueRay. Did not notice any compromise in sound.

    Digital to analog works well. Good sound quality but it delays the sound a tiny bit. So turn the tv speakers down and crank the stereo.
